The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, his only Son our Lord: Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

PRAYER OF BLESSING AND THANKSGIVING FOR THE MINISTRY OF MUSIC
The pastor addresses the congregation and invites them to pray:
O Lord, our God, bless these ministries of music and those who offer them in your service. Give to these persons love for you and your people, fullness of heart as they praise you, and diligence that their music may be a worthy offering to your glory; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.

Response:

R Hallelujah! Praise God in his holy temple; Praise him in the firmament of his power. Praise him for his mighty acts; Praise him for his excellent greatness. Praise him with the blast of the ram’s-horn; Praise him with the lyre and harp. R Praise him with the timbrel and dance; Praise him with strings and pipe.
Praise him with resounding cymbals; Praise him with loud clanging cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Hallelujah! Hallelujah! R

When the Morning Stars Together
Arr. Jeremy J. Bankson
When the morning stars together their Creator’s glory sang, and the angel host all shouted till with joy the heavens rang, then your wisdom and your greatness their exultant music told, all the beauty and the splendor which your mighty works unfold. When in synagogue and temple voices raised the psalmists’ song, offering up the adoration which alone to you belongs; when the singers, trumpets, cymbals all combined, your praise to share, awestruck people saw your glory fill the sacred house of prayer. Voice and instrument in union through the ages spoke your praise. Plainsong, tuneful hymns, and anthems told your faithful gracious ways. Choir and orchestra and organ each a sacred offering brought, while, inspired by your own Spirit, poet and composer wrought.
