Prayer Focus: Restoration and Healing

Welcome to worship at Central!

In the name of Jesus Christ, welcome to worship at Central where it is our mission to follow Jesus by loving God and loving our neighbors. Our clergy, Rev. Thomas Smith, Rev. Dr. Ann Kovan, and Rev. Meg Jiunnies, are grateful you’ve chosen to make Central a part of your day! Whether it’s your first time worshiping with us or you ’ re a lifelong member, we welcome any opportunity to speak with you about how to connect with God through Central. If it is your first time with us, please fill out a Connect Card and bring it to the Welcome Center where you will receive a gift from the church. Once again, welcome!

Music Note

Zanye Curry sings our Offertory Solo today. Our newest Lacy Choral Scholar, Mr. Curry is a Bass/Baritone singer and a student at Francis Marion University, where he is pursuing a Major in Mechanical Engineering and a Minor in Music, studying voice with Dr. Fran Coleman. Zanye’s love for music started at his church in his hometown of Orangeburg. He has been part of South Carolina’s All-State, American Choral Director’s Association, and District Honor Choirs, and he aspires to participate in many more choirs in the future.

Glory Be to the Father COLLECT AND THE LORD’S PRAYER

Almighty God, whose ways are all mercy and truth: Grant that we who attend upon your heavenly mysteries may be grounded in perfect faith and shine forth the light of your purity from our souls. Through Jesus Christ our Lord, we now pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Come Let Us Sing to the Lord

Come let us sing unto the Lord; let us shout for joy to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving and raise a loud shout to him with psalms. For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all Gods. In his hand are all the caverns of the earth, and the heights of the hills are his also. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands molded the dry land. Come let us bow down, and bend the knee, and kneel before the Lord our maker. For He is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. Oh, that today you would hearken to his voice.
