Come, Thou Almighty King COLLECT AND THE LORD’S PRAYER
ITALIAN HYMN
Almighty and merciful God, unto whose blessedness we ascend, not by the frailty of the flesh but by activity of the soul: By your inspiration lead us always to seek after that heavenly city where our eternal treasure lies, and by your mercy allow us to enter it; Through Jesus Christ our Lord, we now pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Let thy people praise thee, Lord, be by all that live adored; let the nations shout and sing glory to their Savior King; let all be below, above, one in joy, and light, and love.

Music Note
The hymn Lord, You Give the Great Commission (UMH 584) penned by Jeffery Rowthorn (1978) was written for the tune ABBOT’S LEIGH and first appeared in the 1984 supplemental hymnal Laudamus for use at the Yale Divinity School. In it, the church is reminded of the social imperatives of the gospel the sharing of wealth and the establishment of a just society.
