Sermon Note Our membership vows include a promise to serve our community and our local congregation through our presence. We also vow that we will support and encourage one another along both our individual and collective faith journeys. Paul and Timothy’s relationship bears witness to the importance of our presence and the interconnectedness we share as members of the family of God.
Sermon Series: The Vows Throughout October, the sermons will focus on the membership vows of prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness. This series will culminate in our Commitment Sunday on the last Sunday of the month. The vows of membership are more than mandates; they are virtues indicative of a disciple. Prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness not only guide us in what we should do—they are God’s gifts to us as they form us into the image of Christ.
