NEXT-GEN MINISTRIES

Next-Gen is our ministry program for families. Together, our Littles, Kids, and Youth programs plan fun yearly events for the whole family. These programs work together to ensure that at Central, we are developing the faith of our younger members in a cohesive and supportive way.

Our Next-Gen Ministry Programs meet in the Student Ministries Building, known as the SMB, on the north side of campus.

CENTRAL LITTLES

STUDENT MINISTRIES BUILDING 1ST FLOOR (SMB)

LITTLES SUNDAY SCHOOL

All of our Littles meet in the SMB on the 1st floor. Our classes use the Sparkhouse Frolic curriculum, which uses best practices in early childhood education for play spaces, prayers, storytelling, music, and rituals.

STUDENT MINISTRIES BUILDING CENTRAL PARK (SMB)

MILESTONE BIBLES

Littles who are three years old will receive Bibles in the SMB Central Park at 10 am Sunday, September 8 Please sign up here.

Central Littles is a ministry for children from birth to pre-K.

We provide childcare for many of our studies and events throughout the year. If you have any questions regarding childcare for your activities, please reach out to Mary Bassett.

KIDS SUNDAY SCHOOL

You will find us on the 2nd floor of the SMB at 10 a.m. Our classes use the Sparkhouse Whirl curriculum, which honors children's spiritual lives and helps shape their growing faith.

Find us in the SMB on the 2nd floor on Wednesdays from 6-7:30 p m At Club K6, we are studying “The Biggest Story,” a curriculum that leads kids on an exciting journey through the Bible from the Garden of Eden to the return of Christ. Sign up here. We kick- off Wednesday, September 11!

Confirmation will be offered for 6th-8th grade students during the 2024-2025 school year. The group will meet on Sunday mornings in the SMB Worship Center at 10 a.m. We will be following the Confirm curriculum published by Cokesbury Confirmation begins Sunday, September 22!

SUNDAY SCHOOL

Youth are invited to join us in the Café of the SMB each week at 10 a.m. for snacks, catching up, and reflecting on scripture

Sunday Night Youth is a time for small groups and worship. Fall kick-off is Sunday, September 8! We meet on Sunday evenings from 5 to 7 p.m. throughout the school year. Dinner is provided

WEDNESDAY HANG TIME

Do you need a place to decompress and hang out with friends after school? Yes, then Wednesday Hang Time is for you! Come hang in the SMB from after school until 7:30 p.m., and join us for dinner in the CAC. Fall kick-off is Wednesday, September 11.

Refuge is an opportunity for 6th-9th grade youth to be introduced to the connectional events of the Arkansas Conference Council on Youth Ministries of the United Methodist Church. They enjoy a weekend in the beautiful outdoors, focusing on Christ, developing friendships, and having fun while getting away from the busyness of life.

To locate Chase in the office, follow the echoes of jazz, blues, opera, or techno music. The door is always open or slightly ajar to keep the day's tunes from spilling out too much and you’re always welcome to drop by. On beautiful days, you might also find Chase at the Library or Puritan’s Deck!

Virginia meets with students at the Wesley Foundation throughout the week, and sometimes, she and Georgia (her pup) swing by the church offices.

She also leads our Young Adult Sunday School Class.
