- Dr. JOEL SLAYOTN, Chair, Bible Department Dr. Joel Slayton has taught at CBC for 43 years, and is also the Pastor for Needs Creek Baptist Church in Greenbrier, AR. He has traveled extensively in the Holy Land, the Journeys of Paul, and Egypt. He visited museums to study Bible artifacts all over Europe and been on mission trips to Brazil, the Philippines, Ghana, Tanzania, and Nepal.
