President's Message

Central Baptist College is a vigorous, forward-looking institution that has a bright future in the academic world. These pages will reflect the objectives of the college because they will reveal our most valuable asset, our students. These fine young men and women will move on to greater successes in their lives, and Central will always have a share in those successes.

We are pleased to present this book to all who might read it as a pres entation of the work of Central Baptist College.

Dean's Message

Different aspects of the ministry of Central Baptist College are reflected in the pages of this book. It can be seen that the college has much to offer those who come her way.

It is our sincere belief that the Towers serves an important role in spreading the message of Central. The sponsor and staff are to be commended for their efforts and service to the school.

The administration and faculty feel a deep sense of reward for having the privilege of investing in the future of our students. The expectation that an increasingly larger number of young men and women will come to Central in search of knowledge makes her future bright and her challange great.

The J. E. Cobb m

Memorial Library On January 9, 1971, the Board of Trustees passed a resolution naming the new library building "The J. E. Cobb Memorial Library." Dr. Cobb spent 51 years of his life in the ministry. He pastored churches in several states. For ten

years he served as professor of Greek and

Bible here at Central Baptist College. He served for 14 years as vice-president and had been honored as vice-president

I

emeritus at the time of his death. Central

College was fortunate to have shared closely in Dr. Cobb's ministry for the last 17 years of his life.

Central Baptist College Choir The Central Baptist College Choir traveled to many sections of the state during the year and presented concerts for our churches. They also performed at the State Association meeting

The Student Senate is the student government organization

on the campus and is the official voice of the student body to the administration and the public. Among the events spon

DANIEL HARVEY WILLIAMS is the son

of Rev. and Mrs. Harvey Williams of Little Rock. A freshman this year at CBC, Danny is a National Merit finalist and compiled

a perfect 4.00 grade point average this year.

Active in school affairs, he was a member of the Association of Baptist Students and a starter on the Mustang basketball team.

Danny plans to enter the University of Missouri at RoIIa and persue a degree in nuclear physics.

Danny and Carol were selected by the faculty on the basis of their scholastic achievement,

leadership, Christian living, and participation in school activities.

LINDA CAROL WOOD is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brice Wood from Westville, Oklahoma.

Carol, a sophomore and a 1971 graduate of CBC, was

a consistent Dean's List scholar both of her

years here. This year she served as president of the Student Women's Organization and treasurer of the Student Senate. She was also a member of the ABS. Carol was elected by the student body to be one of four Central students listed in

Who's Who Among Students In American Junior

Colleges. Carol intends to continue her education in Conway at State College of Arkansas.
