THE CENTER

Thanks to you... The Center has enjoyed a record-setting year.

WE ARE A HUB FOR THE ARTISTIC, CULTURAL, AND CREATIVE ACTIVITY IN JACKSON HOLE.

In collaboration with our Resident Partners and other organizations, we offered excellent programs for our community and visitors. Our theater was busy nearly 200 nights, realizing the vision of our founders to become a hub of artistic, cultural, and creative activity in Jackson Hole. Thanks to you, we continue to make strides financially. We are building a healthy annual fund through Center Friends, Center Sponsors, Annual Benefit Benefactors, Old Bill’s Donors, and other donations that cover our current needs. We are growing our programming and maintenance endowments to ensure a healthy future, and reducing our capital debt from its high of nearly seven million to just over one million. The community overwhelmingly supported our new land lease with the Town and County. The result is a 99-year term that makes certain The Center and its Residents can foster the creative initiatives of Jackson Hole for years to come. We thank our elected officials for their leadership and their staff for carefully considering all aspects of our public/private partnership. Our future is bright. In addition to our marquee events featuring music, dance, and spoken word, we have committed to multidisciplinary programming that enhances the offerings of our Resident and Community Partners. Last year we were pleased to offer National Theatre Live, and we have committed to widening our family programming. Exciting things await! Without your support, none of this would have been possible. Thank you.

Sponsor Spotlight: PREMIER GREEN CLEANING

Did you know that during the summer months, we turn our building’s boiler off? Or that we use biodegradable cups at all of our events?

Reduce Reuse Recycle The Center is a proud member of the Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Business Leader Program in Teton County.

An interview with Monay Olson, Chief Executive Officer of Jackson Lodging Company and Premier Green Cleaning.

Our Greening Initiative is supported by Teton County, Town of Jackson, Teton Conservation District, Leslye and David

What is your favorite art piece at The Center? My absolute favorite thing about art at The Center is the changing exhibits in the gallery. The anticipation of seeing something new is always satisfying. What is the best part of living in our community? Our community is full of people from diverse backgrounds with different interests and talents. We all appreciate, enjoy and share a love for the natural beauty we are surrounded by and get to experience each and every day. I believe this appreciation enables our community to be givers, to be aware of the needs of others in our community and create amazing bonds that entwine us all. What is the best advice you would give to new community businesses that are just starting out? Be prepared for growth! Jackson is full of people who have

incredible ideas, but because of difficulties with workforce housing and the shortage in laborers, many businesses struggle and fail. Make sure you have a plan in place and scalability should be on your mind from the get-go. Jackson has high need in many areas. Businesses can start off with a bang but lose traction simply because they do not have the ability to handle growth. What is your favorite summer activity or tradition in Jackson Hole? At the end of every school year, my husband and our two boys head to the Snake River Canyon and get ready to be soaked! Whitewater rafting in Jackson is fun and intense enough to keep us coming back every year since they were little boys! Summers in Jackson are busy, and we take advantage before the rush to enjoy the activities that make living in Jackson special.

We also installed LED lighting in our theater and stairwells this past year to reduce energy consumption...

and Rod Moorhead, Jennifer and Michael Tennican, and anonymous donors.

And purchased 18 new recycling bins that have been placed throughout our campus to encourage “green” disposal of glass, plastic, and paper waste!

CENTER SPONSORS

CENTER FRIENDS

The Center presents a wide variety of programs each year for the enjoyment of the Jackson Hole community. Offering these high-caliber events is possible only with the help of Center Sponsors. Ticket sales alone do not cover the costs of these performances.

We are pleased to thank our generous Center Friends whose sustaining gifts “keep the lights on” and support the general operations of our creative campus. We are grateful!
