Coalition for Better Business

CSVC’S Coalition for Better Business highlights and engages companies and organizations that prioritize the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and Environmental, Social, and Governance Goals (ESG), have a keen interest in Maryland Smith students and believe in the good of people, planning, and profit. Formed in early 2018, the coalition helps to refine and enhance better business learning experiences, explore and highlight relevant industry insights, and co-create student engagements that foster the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to advance economic, social and environmental prosperity. Coalition engagements include guest lectures, live cases, skills workshops, special events, community convenings, and more. Supporters The Smith Family Foundation

The Smith Family Foundation played an important role in our center. In 2015 the foundation gave a $10 million gift to the Robert H. Smith Family Foundation will support MBA scholarships, undergraduate leadership programs and facility enhancements for the Smith School. The gift, announced in September 2015, will also continue to fund the school's Center for Social Value Creation. Michelle Smith played an important role to our center and may she rest in peace.
