The Center for American Values holds a prominent location on Pueblo’s Riverwalk near the new Veteran’s Memorial Bridge. Center for American Values: Mr Brian Binn, President, Military Affairs, Greater Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce, is pictured with Mr. Drew Dix, one of Pueblo’s Congressional Medal of Honor Recipients and co-founder of the Center, and Mr Tom Allee, the Center’s Director The Center for American Values, Inc. was formed in 2010 for charitable and educational purposes. The Center’s founders identified the need for a national initiative to recognize and preserve the values this great country was founded upon. Pueblo, Colorado is known as the Home of Heroes. The community boasts the unique distinction as being the home of four Congressional Medal of Honor recipients. President Dwight D. Eisenhower once remarked after bestowing the Medal of Honor upon Raymond G Murphy “What is it in the water out there in Pueblo … all you guys turn out to be heroes.” Fittingly, the visionary and co-founder for the Center for American Values is Pueblo’s own Medal of Honor recipient Drew Dix.
