AGING WELL IN CENTENNIAL: LIVING TO AGE 100 & BEYOND

ational Centenarians Day falls on September 22 and honors those aged 100 and over. This year, the City of Centennial honored its centenarian residents with a celebration made possible through a partnership with Someren Glen Life Plan Community. Each of the three Centennial centenarians present were awarded certificates of recognition by Mayor Stephanie Piko, joined by Council Members Marlo Alston and Mike Sutherland. The City wants its residents to live comfortably and remain healthy and happy in the community. Maintaining a high quality of life and implementing aging-in-place initiatives remains a priority for the City. By 2030, the number of seniors in Centennial is projected to be 27,000, which is 17.3 percent higher than the national average.
