Now patients can check in on their own with the new Sara Kiosk, freeing up staff in those busy periods and keeping patients happy.

D4W Sara is a customer self check-in facility utilising a touch screen iPad. It integrates with D4W so you can manage the flow of patients from reception through to surgery in busy periods, in an efficient and modern manner.

It allows patients to check in for their appointments straight away so they are not kept waiting.

Sara is integrated with Dental4Windows, so the receptionist, even if busy in the surgery, but has access to D4W, will know when the patient has checked in.

To display D4W Sara prominently in your practice we are offering it as a 24 month package, with no set up fee, with an iPad and an optional swing arm wall mount, fixed counter top mount or floor stand dependent on your specific practice requirements.

If you prefer you can utilise your own hardware and just pay the fixed monthly fee* and set up fee.

Also, to give peace of mind to your patient, there is an option to send an SMS from D4W to their mobile with a message to acknowledge them when they have checked in. You can even add a marketing message to the SMS. Initially, to promote your new automated check-in facility, you may want to market it in your appointment reminder SMS messages. Also, when patients come to your practice, have signage and the Sara iPad/tablet displayed prominently, until it’s second nature for patients.

D4W Sara is wirelessly delivered utilising your existing server and is integrated with your D4W. It is not presently available in the Cloud but will be in the future.

How D4W Sara is configured in your practice The D4W Sara Kiosk server is a Java application, which runs as a Windows service, and starts an embedded Tomcat web server. This is installed on your practices’ D4W Server, and is on the same network as your D4W Server. Communication with the web server is restricted, via configuration, to the Local Area Network. The D4W Sara Kiosk website is accessed by the patient via internet browser using an iPad connected to the local network. All communication between D4W and D4W Sara Kiosk is over HTTP.
