Dual-line systems are used where multiple lubrication points need to be lubricated from a single source. Some of the applications of dual-line systems are smelting plant, rolling mills, mining power stations, cement works, sugar refineries, breweries, construction machinery, etc.
The dual-line lubrication systems primarily consist of a pump, change over valve, main feed lines the distributors arranged closed to the lubrication points. The pressure relief valve is used to protect the pump from overpressure.

Metering can be adjusted to meet the requirement of the individual lubrication points.
The metered quantity is independent of backpressure.
The systems at any time can be extended by connections of additional distributors, reduced by shutting down the distributors or outlets.
