THE START LINE OF THE RETURN TO RACING
THE 2021 BANK OF AMERICA CHICAGO MARATHON: THE START LINE OF THE RETURN TO RACING
The 43rd running of the Bank of America Chicago Marathon is the first U.S. Abbott World Marathon Major to return inperson in 2021. After a year off, it will be the ultimate celebration of the hard work, ingenuity and effort shown by everyone to reach the start line of this year’s race. Chicago’s familiar streets and diverse running community will welcome each participant upon landing in our city. The physical start line represents not only the start of 26.2, but a fresh beginning for each runner’s journey and what it took to get them there. The landmarks around the start line and throughout the course showcase the city, and at each point on the course represent the opportunity to start again and be transformed by the experience.
From first-timers to those who toe our line year after year, Chicago Marathoners know this is the people’s race, and that Chicago is their start line.
