CITY OF CELINA MEMORIAL DAY CEREMONY REMINDER
This is a reminder that the City will host its annual Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 26, at 9:00 AM on Celina’s Downtown Square. This meaningful event is organized in partnership with the Celina Area Heritage Association Museum and invites our community to come together in remembrance and gratitude.
We encourage City Council to attend and help promote the event within your networks. Memorial Day is more than a date on the calendar - it is a solemn occasion to honor the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. The ceremony serves as an important opportunity to reflect on the cost of freedom and recognize the legacies of those who have served with courage and selflessness.
INFRASTRUCTURE UPGRADES UNDERWAY ON COIT ROAD
Beginning Tuesday, May 27, CR 97 (Coit Road) will be closed from CR 101 to CR 100 to accommodate essential roadway improvements associated with the Ramble Development. This project is a key component of the City’s ongoing efforts to enhance local infrastructure in support of Celina’s rapid growth and long-term development.
As part of this work, additional traffic restrictions will be in place:
• CR 101, from CR 130 north, will be open to local traffic only
• CR 97, from CR 100 to CR 134, will be open to local traffic only
• CR 97 will be fully closed from Brewer Lane to CR 101
The closure is anticipated to remain in effect through early August 2025, with the roadway scheduled to reopen prior to the start of the school year to reduce any impact on school-related travel. We appreciate the community’s patience and understanding as we complete these important improvements.
CR 58 AND CR 59 INTERSECTION CLOSURE BEGINS MAY 27
Beginning Tuesday, May 27, the intersection of CR 58 and CR 59 will be closed in all directions to allow for the installation of a water connection and stub out as part of ongoing utility infrastructure improvements. This tem-
porary closure is expected to remain in place through Friday, May 30, pending weather and site conditions. In preparation for the closure, message boards were installed on Monday, May 19, and door hangers began distribution on Tuesday, May 20, to notify nearby residents and affected properties. This work is essential to support continued development in the area and to enhance the reliability of the City’s water infrastructure. We appreciate the community’s patience and understanding during this brief disruption. Updates will be provided as needed to keep residents informed.
