ASSISTANT CHIEF BROWN GRADUATES FROM FBI NATIONAL ACADEMY
The City is proud to recognize Assistant Chief Brent Brown on his recent graduation from the prestigious FBI National Academy, Class #294. This distinguished accomplishment is a testament to his leadership, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to the highest standards of law enforcement.
The FBI National Academy is a rigorous 10-week executive leadership program held in Quantico, Virginia, and is attended by a select group of law enforcement leaders from across the United States and around the world. Participation is by invitation only, and graduates of the program join a global network of elite public safety professionals.
Assistant Chief Brown’s completion of this program brings valuable insight and experience back to the Celina Police Department and further strengthens our community’s public safety leadership. We commend him on this significant milestone and thank him for his continued service to the residents of Celina.
DESPICABLE ME 4 TO HEADLINE FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT
The City is pleased to present another exciting installment of its signature community programming with Movie Night on the Square, proudly sponsored by Sinacola. Scheduled for Friday, June 13, at 7:00 PM in the heart of Downtown Celina, this free event offers an engaging opportunity for families and residents of all ages to enjoy a relaxing evening together.
Guests are invited to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and their favorite movie snacks as the Square is transformed into a vibrant outdoor theater. This month’s feature film is Despicable Me 4, the newest chapter in the popular animated franchise, promising laughter and entertainment under the stars. Events like this continue to strengthen our sense of community and highlight Celina’s commitment to providing inclusive, family-friendly experiences for all.
CITY RESPONDS TO INCREASE IN SOLICITORS AFTER STORMS
Following the recent storms, the City has observed an increase in door-to-door solicitor activity throughout residential neighborhoods. In response, the City has proactively communicated with residents regarding the importance of understanding and following local solicitor regulations.
All solicitors operating within Celina city limits are required to obtain a valid permit issued by the City. This permitting process is in place to help protect residents, ensure accountability, and maintain community safety. To help inform the public, the City has shared guidance through its “In the Know” video series, which provides a clear overview of the solicitor permitting process. Residents are encouraged to view the video to better understand how to identify permitted solicitors and what steps to take if concerns arise.
If a solicitor is unable to present a valid City-issued permit, residents are advised to report the interaction to the Celina Police Department’s Non-Emergency Number at (972) 547-5350. Continued community awareness and engagement play a key role in helping to maintain a safe and secure environment for all. CLICK HERE TO VIEW THE VIDEO
