CITY UPDATES

CITY WILL TRANSITION BACK TO STAGE 1 OF THE DROUGHT CONTINGENCY PLAN

Beginning Monday, September 23, the City will transition back to Stage 1 of our Drought Contingency Plan, thanks to the community’s diligent efforts in water conservation. The commitment of our residents over the past few weeks has enabled us to ease certain restrictions while still promoting responsible water usage. Under Stage 1, lawn watering will be allowed twice a week, with the requirement to water only outside the hours of 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM to minimize evaporation. The updated schedule designates watering days for both residential and commercial properties, ensuring sustainable water management.

Residential Properties:

Even-numbered addresses: Sundays and Thursdays

Odd-numbered addresses: Saturdays and Wednesdays

Commercial, Industrial, and Institutional Properties: Tuesdays and Fridays

The City will share this information with residents via email, social media, our resident newsletter, and a video message from the Mayor.

Beginning Monday, September 23, at 9:00 PM, Oncor will implement rolling lane closures for 15-minute intervals at the intersection of N Preston Road and Lynn Stambaugh Parkway. This temporary measure is necessary for the installation of wire across the intersection. The work will continue until 3:00 AM on Tuesday, September 24. Police personnel will be present on-site to facilitate these rolling closures and ensure safety.

DALLAS NORTH TOLLWAY PHASE 4A PROJECT: LANE CLOSURE NOTIFICATION

For the ongoing work on the Dallas North Tollway (DNT) Phase 4A Project, contractors will implement lane closures next week. These closures will facilitate the transport of topsoil, a mass haul of materials, and the cleaning of the area. It is important to note that the entire left lanes will not be closed, and closures will only occur at the construction exits as necessary. NTTA has approved these closures on the condition that they are used solely for hauling purposes and that the Dallas Parkway is kept clean at all times.

Monday, September 23, through Saturday, September 28, from 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM

• Northbound and southbound left lanes of Dallas Parkway from First Street to FM 428
