FIRE DEPARTMENT PARTICIPATES IN DALLAS 9/11 MEMORIAL STAIR CLIMB

The City is extremely proud of the 12 members of the Celina Fire Department who participated in this year’s Dallas 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb, held in honor of the brave heroes who perished on September 11, 2001. This solemn event is carefully choreographed to align with the actual timeline of the tragic events of that day, paying tribute to the fallen first responders with respect and reverence. The climb began at 8:47 AM, following a moment of silence for the North Tower, which was struck by Flight 11 at that time. Throughout the climb, our firefighters paused for moments of silence at key moments, reflecting on the significant events of that morning. The climb concluded at noon, symbolizing the culmination of their tribute to the fallen.

This year’s dedicated participants from our department included Firefighter/Paramedic Bailey Jones, Battalion Chief Matt Jones, Captain Carl Kincaid, Captain Nick Boroski, Firefighter/Paramedic Dawson Wood, Firefighter/ Paramedic Tyler Rigsby, Probationary Firefighter/Paramedic Chase Herron, Firefighter/Paramedic Michael Carter, Firefighter/Paramedic Garrett Lane, Driver/Operator Klint Ervin, Driver/Operator Brandon Raidy, and Driver/ Operator Alex Mann.

DALLAS NORTH TOLLWAY PHASE 4A PROJECT: LANE CLOSURE NOTIFICATION

For the ongoing work on the Dallas North Tollway (DNT) Phase 4A Project, contractors will implement lane closures next week. These closures will facilitate the transport of topsoil, a mass haul of materials, and the cleaning of the area. It is important to note that the entire left lanes will not be closed, and closures will only occur at the construction exits as necessary. NTTA has approved these closures on the condition that they are used solely for hauling purposes and that the Dallas Parkway is kept clean at all times.

Monday, September 16, through Saturday, September 21, from 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM

• Northbound and southbound left lanes of Dallas Parkway from First Street to FM 428
