STORM CLEAN-UP EFFORTS UPDATE
Celina Storm Sweep
The Celina Storm Sweep event for storm-affected residents to dispose of bulk trash and yard waste will continue at the Public Works Building, located at 10165 County Road 106, on Saturday (June 8) from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Waste Connections will provide roll-away dumpsters at this location. Due to high demand and limited resources, including dumpsters, trucks, and personnel, the City requests patience and understanding if the dumpsters are full upon arrival.
Texas iSTAT Portal
If your property was affected by the recent severe weather and flooding, you can report your damages through the Texas iSTAT portal. This aims to help state and local emergency management officials across Texas understand the extent of damages.
Please note: This survey is not a replacement for insurance claims and does not guarantee assistance. Reporting your damages is a voluntary action to aid emergency management efforts.
Bulk Trash Pick-Up
If a Waste Connection customer wants to schedule their bulk trash pick-up independently, they will need to reach out to Waste Connections directly. They can schedule a pick-on ONLINE, via their MobileApp, or by calling their Customer Service Team at (844) 708-7274. The Customer Service Team will guide them through the process and will confirm their scheduled pick-up date. Waste Connections is asking that all debris be contained in a pile at the bottom of their driveway for collection. In addition, it is important for the customers to inform the Customer Service Representative that it is for storm debris pick-up to ensure it does not count towards their regular monthly bulk trash pick-ups. Please note: Households using a different provider for their trash and recycling collection should contact their provider directly.
Damaged/Missing Trash & Recycle Bins
Households with damaged or missing trash bins should contact their trash and recycle provider directly to order replacement bins.

PUBLIC WORKS
The Public Works Department has been diligently working on storm recovery efforts and successfully hosted a Storm Sweep event from May 30 to June 1, 2024. The event saw significant participation, with 182 vehicles, 79 of which had trailers, contributing to the clean-up efforts. Together, they filled over 14 roll-off containers with debris.
In addition to these events, the Celina Public Works Team has been actively clearing debris and tree limbs from the roadways. All roadways have been open since May 27, 2024, and as debris clean-up continues, there may be intermittent road closures or single-lane traffic while crews work to remove debris from the right-of-way areas that the city is responsible for. So far, they have hauled away 114 dump truck loads of debris and continue to work tirelessly on the clean-up operations. The team has removed 100% of debris from County Road 100, GA Moore Parkway, and County Road 58 within city right-of-way ownership areas. They have also assessed the city street signs and poles that have been damaged and have begun work on getting them replaced.
We appreciate the community’s cooperation and participation in these recovery efforts. Your support is invaluable in helping us restore our city. Thank you for your continued assistance and patience as we work towards a complete recovery.
ROAD CLOSURES RESIDENT MAP
Begining Monday June 10th, Coit Road from Frontier Parkway to Vest Lane will be fully open to traffic on the northbound and southbound lanes. There will be intermittently partial inside lane closures for median landscaping work.
Beginning Wednesday June 12th, Parvin Road will be closed from Smiley Rd/Teel Parkway to Legacy Drive for roadway repairs. This full closure is expected to last two (2) weeks, weather pending, and the road is scheduled to be reopened on Wednesday June 26th.
The City ‘s Road Closures Resident Map serves as a crucial tool for residents to remain informed about ongoing projects and associated road closures within the city. This comprehensive resource empowers individuals to plan their travel routes effectively, minimizing disruptions caused by construction activities. By clicking on the map (located on the next page) or accessing the link above, residents gain access to the full interactive map, ensuring easy navigation and timely updates on the evolving infrastructure projects throughout Celina.
