The City is delighted to host the annual Splash & Blast celebration on Saturday, June 29, from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at Old Celina Park. CITY OF CELINA EMPLOYEE NIGHT AT FC DALLAS
Members from various departments attended an employee engagement event at the FC Dallas game on Wednesday, June 19, bringing their families to enjoy the festivities. In partnership with FC Dallas, the Human Resources team facilitated this opportunity, offering employees discounted game tickets to foster connections outside the office. Notably, the representative who assisted with this event is a proud Celina resident, and following a thrilling 5-3 victory by FC Dallas, employees and their families were invited onto the field to celebrate.

PUBLIC WORKS INITIATES WATER CONSERVATION OUTREACH
The Public Works team has recently initiated another water conservation outreach in the community. Residents may have noticed new water conservation signs installed at various locations, detailing important guidelines aimed at preserving the City’s water resources. The signs outline a strict watering schedule, permitting lawn watering only twice a week and prohibiting it between 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Residential addresses ending in even numbers are scheduled to water on Sundays and Thursdays, while those ending in odd numbers are designated Saturdays and Wednesdays. Commercial, industrial, and institutional properties are to water on Tuesdays and Fridays.
With temperatures rising, the collective water usage is increasing, making it more important than ever to be mindful of the consumption and avoid overwatering lawns and landscape. Overconsumption not only depletes water resources but also stresses the City’s infrastructure and environment. The conservation guidelines are designed to promote efficient water usage and ensure that the community remains resilient and sustainable during the hot summer months.
The City urges all residents to take these guidelines seriously and ensure their irrigation systems are set to the appropriate watering days and times. Responsible water use today prevents the need for stricter measures in the future, safeguarding the water supply for the long term.
RECAP OF THE SECOND ANNUAL CELINA POLICE DEPARTMENT CAR SHOW
Last Saturday, the Celina Police Department hosted its second annual Car Show, bringing together enthusiasts and community members for a day of engagement and fun. The City extends its heartfelt thanks to the Celina Police Department Motor Unit, as well as the McKinney and Irving Police Departments, for participating in the event. The motor units performed impressive demonstrations, showcasing their skills and fostering community relations. This successful event highlights the commitment to community outreach and collaboration with neighboring law enforcement agencies.
