Opening words from chairman Steve Powell
I’d like to extend a warm welcome on behalf of all at Cefn Cribwr RFC to Maesteg Celtic, our opposition today. I believe that it has been quite a few years since our paths have crossed on the pitch and we look forward to an entertaining game of rugby this afternoon.
I know that our players and coaches have put in a huge amount of effort into preseason training and we have a number of new additions to our squad this year that will strengthen in a few key positions and add some competition across the park.
Today marks the second of three pre-season matches for Cefn and while I unfortunately missed the trip to Stourport, the match report received was very encouraging and hopefully bodes well for the season ahead.
I’d also like to thank our members and sponsors for continuing to support our club. Without your ongoing support our club couldn’t thrive in the way it does.
