SCHEDULE OF

Dear Brahman Enthusiasts: On behalf of the American Brahman Breeders Association we would like to invite you to the 2014 International Brahman Sale. This year’s sale is undoubtedly one of the most exciting as we have assembled one of the highest quality, most elite set of females to have ever been offered in the sale. In the cattle business, success depends on the power and productivity of one’s cowherd. In life, success depends on taking advantage of opportunities. As you take the time to look through the catalog we hope you realize the opportunity to add strength to your breeding program. You will notice many opportunities to own some outstanding females and purchase genetics from some of the most sought after animals in the breed.

As in the past we have videoed the offering for your further inspection of the cattle. The videos and sale catalog can be viewed at BRAHMAN.ORG. On the day of the sale, the pre-sale cattle viewing and cocktail party will begin at 5PM with the sale starting promptly at 6:30. Immediately following the sale will be the annual semen sale, benefiting the ABBA Research & Breed Improvement Committee. More opportunities will abound at the semen sale with many lots being offered to the public that are not available on the open market. You can view the semen offering prior to the sale on the ABBA website or pick up a catalog at the ABBA Booth in Reliant Center.

In closing, we would like to thank you for your continued support of the International Sale and of the Brahman breed. Please remember success is where preparation meets opportunity. Are you prepared to take the steps to ensure your success? Hope to see you sale day! If any of the sale committee or consignors can provide you additional information or assist you in any way please give us a call.

Sincerely,

2014 International Sale Committee

Consignor Paul Canik / Shawn Sagrera It is with great pleasure and much excitement that we are able to offer a flush on the 2013 Reserve International Champion Grey Female to benefit the American Junior Brahman Association. This female was purchased from the elite program of Shawn Sagrera as a junior project and the ride has been nothing short of amazing. During her show career she has won over 15 Championships with 4 of these coming at ABBA Approved Shows. Not only is she a great female but is backed by a strong pedigree. Her sire +-GS 135 is the #11 bull in the Register of Renown, has sired 47 Champions in ABBA Shows and sired 7 ABBA Show Animals of the Year. He too is an outcross to many of today’s popular bloodlines making this an even more optimal offering.

This female has been the favorite of judges due to her structural soundness, moderate frame, deep rib, beautiful udder and muscle. In addition to being an outstanding female backed with a pedigree containing some off the breeds greats she is a proven producer with an outstanding calf at side and producing over 10 embryos in each flush. She is currently bred and expected to be able to be flushed in the Fall of 2014. We are selling one conventional flush and guaranteeing six transferable embryos with the work to be done at Trans Ova Genetics in Centerville, Texas.

Consignor V8 Ranch

A beautiful maternal designed female from one of the best cow families on V8 Ranch, this female always demands a second look from visitors. In terms of physical features, this heifer is extremely long sided, very feminine and refined, very balanced and has a very desirable underline and udder. For a female, she is ideal in her muscle design and exhibits a strong level top with a lot of volume and rib shape with excellent American Brahman breed character and hump placement.

Genetically, this heifer is a powerhouse. Six of her seven dams in her four-generation pedigree have been donors. Her dam, Miss V8 464/6, is a past World Brahman Congress Champion and International Champion Female. A flush sold on her here in the 2008 Houston sale for $20,000. Her maternal granddam, +Miss V8 188/5, has produced as many donor cows as any female on the ranch plus two International Champion females and her maternal great granddam, +Miss Claydesta 203-807 U5, is the top earning female ever at V8, with many donor cows as offspring. At the present time we have 4 full brothers and sisters to Miss V8 566/7 with us here at Houston in our show string. They will be competitive at this show and have won championships in the past two years. This line of cattle has also been very impressive in actual feedlot carcass tests and carcass ultrasound with very high IMF scores. Miss V8 566/7 can be a powerful donor cow for any ranch in the Brahman world. She is impressive both phenotypically and genotypically. She sells heavy bred to Mr. V8 675/6, one of our top young herd sires. Her lineage and relatives have produced great cattle time and time again. She will continue that heritage. V8 Ranch retains the right to one flush at our expense and the buyers convenience. This is a front pasture female.
