Dear 3A Homeroom Parents, I am so excited to begin this journey through 3rd grade with you! Our explorations will channel us through our imaginations as we investigate, analyze, and create. What can our 3rd graders accomplish this year? The possibilities are endless!

In addition to being the 3A homeroom teacher, I will also be the Grade 3 Language Arts and Social Studies teacher. Mrs. Kotasthane will be the Grade 3 Math and Science teacher and 3B homeroom teacher.

Student Safety and Supplies Our students’ safety is our number one priority, so please send your child prepared with his/her daily supplies as we will not be sharing personal items.

Please include the following items in your child’s backpack each day: 1)

Personal hand sanitizer and pocket tissues

2)

A refillable water bottle, lunch, a healthy snack, and eating utensils.

3)

Lunch Orders: If you will be ordering lunch from Catering Solutions, please see the following pages.

For our new families, when parents come to school on September 8th for New Parent Orientation, you may bring your child’s supplies in a bag labeled with their name.

For our returning students, you can bring your supplies on September 9th, the first day of school. Please make sure your supplies are labeled.

We will be getting lockers this year, but no locks are required.

Arrival/Dismissal Procedure Students should be dropped off in the morning at the front door between 8:00 and 8:15. Please be punctual.

At 3:30 pm, students are dismissed under the portico. After 3:45 pm, they will be sent to After Care.

For both Arrival and Dismissal, you can drive up to drop off and pick up your child without parking. No parents will be allowed past the gate for security reasons.

Uniforms Students are required to wear regular school uniform daily (include Health class), except on Gym days twice a week, when they wear their gym uniforms.

Students will receive their schedule on the first day of school. Every student should come to school in regular school uniform on the first day, Wednesday, September 9th.

SCHOOL UNIFORMS & DRESS DOWN POLICY Uniforms are required for all students enrolled in Cedar Hill Prep School, grades K -8. Wearing a school uniform helps students focus on learning, develops self-esteem, promotes respect and builds school spirit. Please help us ensure your child complies to our uniform policy daily. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action.

Each student’s uniform must fit properly, not to exceed one (1) size below and beyond the correct size.

Blackbaud Parent Portal Cedar Hill Preparatory School utilizes Blackbaud as the central parent portal. Through this platform, families are able to access and upload essential student records, including contracts, health records, permission slips/forms, and attendance information.

Blackbaud Parent Portal: cedarhillprep.myschoolapp.com Steps To View Completed Files/Forms : 1. Log in with your parent credentials 2. Click on your Profile at the top right corner of the portal 3. Choose Files & Forms 4. Check the Show Completed Forms checkbox

The portal also provides access to Tuition Management, where families can review invoices and manage tuition payments.

Steps to Access Tuition Management: 1. When Logged in the Blackbaud Portal, click on the Resources tab in the top navigation bar.

2. Select the Tuition Management tile - Your account and invoices will appear on the screen.
