Kindergarten Graduation: A Joyful Beginning
What a celebration! Our Kindergarten
Graduation was a heartwarming moment of growth, laughter, and pure joy as our youngest scholars crossed the stage with pride — diploma in hand and Grade 1 on the horizon!
Watching these children bloom throughout the year and step into this milestone with such confidence and excitement was a reminder of exactly why we do what we do.
A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Pranali Parab and Ms. Soma Ganguly for organizing such a warm and memorable program. Their dedication and care were felt in every moment of the day — by children and families alike.
To our little graduates — we are so incredibly proud of each and every one of you. You have grown in ways that fill our hearts, and we cannot wait to see all the wonderful things you go on to do.
PRESCHOOL - KINDERGARTEN NEWS
A Week to Remember!
What an incredible final full week of Preschool! Our students celebrated in style with a different themed event each day — and the fun was nonstop!
Monday: Career Day! Our littlest dreamers dressed up as everything they hope to be! From presidents and CEOs to veterinarians, firefighters, dentists, and even a princess — the future is looking very bright indeed.
Tuesday: Talent Day! Builders, musicians, dancers, gymnasts, artists, singers, and fitness champs took center stage! It was a joyful reminder that every child shines in their own unique way.
Wednesday: Pajama & Movie Day! Cozy pajamas, favorite stuffed animals, and The Adventures of Winnie the Pooh — need we say more? Our classroom became the coziest movie theater around!
Thursday: Favorite Toy Day! The stories behind each special toy were as precious as the toys themselves. Sharing, laughing, and connecting — this is what childhood is made of.
Friday: Water Play Day! Bathing suits on, smiles wide — our water park finale was the perfect sendoff! We splashed, got soaked by the big water buckets, and topped it all off with ice cream. What a way to celebrate the end of a wonderful year!
A Summer Send-Off to Remember
Our Pre-K students wrapped up the year in the best way possible! Water Play Day brought splashing fun on the splash pad and cool popsicles to beat the heat. Beach Day had students spreading out their towels, digging in with beach toys, and enjoying a sunny picnic right on campus. And as the final bell rang on the last day of school, our littlest learners celebrated a big milestone — moving up to Kindergarten. What a wonderful way to close out the year!

At Cedar Hill Preparatory School, we believe that every child brings something extraordinary to the table — and our Grade 1, 2, and 3 Awards Celebrations were a beautiful reminder of exactly that.
Every Child, Every Strength
Watching each student step forward to be recognized was one of those moments that makes the work of education feel like the privilege it truly is. Because at CHP, awards season isn't just about academic achievement — it's about seeing each child fully, and honoring the unique strengths, qualities, and growth that make them who they are.
To every Grade 1, 2, and 3 student who was recognized this year — this award is a reflection of something real in you. Hold onto it. Build on it. And know that your teachers see you, believe in you, and are cheering you on every single day.
To our families — thank you for partnering with us in this work. Raising confident, capable, curious children is a team effort, and we are grateful to do it alongside you.
Grade 4 Ends the School Year
Although June is a short month, it is a very busy one! It began with a week of Final Exams, followed by our much anticipated Water Play Day, Junior Olympics/Field Day, and Graduation!

Before graduation, Grade 4 had a chance to celebrate one June birthday and five summer birthdays! Happy 10th Birthday to Veda, Jessica, Kasvi, Mishka, Sree Dharsh, and Taksh! Welcome to the Double Digit Club!
Congratulations Grade 4 Graduates
OnJune 9th, Grade 4 students adjusted their graduation caps…Pomp and Circumstance began playing…and the students marched down the aisle of the auditorium at Praise Presbyterian Church for their final performance as CHP Elementary School students. This day marked their transition into Middle School.
For these curious, conscientious, and creative students, the Grade 4 Graduation Ceremony marked the culmination of a collaborative effort that was highlighted by the students’ reflective speeches and enjoyment in singing. In addition to receiving their Graduation Diplomas, each fourth grader received awards that highlighted their personal achievements throughout the year. A special thank you to Samaira Doshi and Nico Garofalo, alums of the Grade 4 Graduating Class of 2022…and 8th Grade Graduates of 20252026…for enriching the students’ graduation experience with their heartfelt and insightful messages!
These Grade 4 graduates have brought much pride to their CHP community and families, and we wish them well as they move on to Middle School!
We have so many people to thank for helping to create such a memorable Graduation ceremony… Dr. Nan and Mr. Seeley for your leadership, Ms. Kheny and Ms. Donna for organizing each graduation event, Ms. Nidhi and Ms. Kane for the fabulous video, and the Franklin Township Jazz Ensemble.

Our 2nd Grade Authors Have Been Published!
There is something truly special about watching a child discover the power of their own words — and this year, our 2nd Grade students did exactly that.
On June 5th, families were invited to a Publishing Party celebrating the official unveiling of our 2nd Grade class book. Students gathered in the multipurpose room for a morning of celebration, book signings, and the well-deserved recognition of becoming published authors.
From the first draft to the final page, this project was a testament to the creativity, hard work, and growth of every single student who contributed. We could not be more proud.
Congratulations to our 2nd Grade authors — your stories matter, and now the world gets to read them.

Celebrating Excellence: Grades 5-8 Celebration of Achievement
At Cedar Hill Prep, we believe that every milestone deserves to be celebrated. On June 9, Grades 5-8 students gathered for our annual Celebration of Achievement — a special moment to honor the hard work, growth, and accomplishments that have defined their year.
From academic excellence to leadership, perseverance, and character, students were recognized across a range of categories that reflect the whole child we strive to nurture. Each award is a reminder that achievement isn’t just about grades — it’s about curiosity, resilience, and the courage to grow.
As we celebrate these students today, we’re also celebrating what’s possible when potential is given purpose. Congratulations to all our awardees — we are so proud of you, and we can’t wait to see what you accomplish next.

8th Grade Graduation Ceremony: Celebrating the Class of 2026
Cedar Hill Prep proudly sent off its newest group of graduates this week, marking the conclusion of their journey from Preschool to 8 with a ceremony filled with reflection, achievement, and school pride. The program featured remarks from Principal Donald Seeley and Nan Menon, along with messages from three alumni speakers spanning the Classes of 2017, 2021, and 2022, each sharing how their CHP foundation shaped their continued academic and personal success.
Highlights of the afternoon included the “Lifers” speech from longtime CHP students, a Salutatorian address from Nico Garofalo, and a Valedictorian address from Lily Trotta. The graduating class also performed an original parody of “I’ll Always Remember You,” paying tribute to their years at CHP before receiving their diplomas.
Congratulations to the Class of 2026 — we can’t wait to see where your futures take you!

MIDDLE SCHOOL NEWS
Cedar Hill Prep Students Earn Top Honors on the International Stage
Congratulations to Indigo James, who earned 3rd place, and Isra Arif, who earned 4th place, at the 2026 Future Problem Solving International Conference held at Indiana University from June 10–14. The two Cedar Hill Prep scholars competed among 1,454 champion student competitors representing 11 countries, 33 U.S. states, and 259 schools and groups from around the world.
Competing in the Multi Agent Global Issues Competition (M.A.G.I.C), Indigo and Isra tackled a complex future scenario set in 2045 Slovenia, where bioengineered trees had created havoc with the ecosystem — developing a comprehensive Action Plan in the Forestry category that earned them their top finishes.
They were among thirteen Cedar Hill Prep students who qualified for the international conference — Aaliyah Patel, Aanya Vig, Agasthya Mabbu, Anandita Gurjar, Avya Kumar, Alexander Peng, Dylan Lee, Johnathan Li, Sahasra Genupur, Samaira Doshi, and Tanish Patel — who also represented the school in the Community Projects Showcase, presenting their year-long initiative supporting a neighboring Title 1 School. The project earned special recognition from FPS Engagement Manager Cait Hutsell, who called it the most impactful community project she remembers.
We are incredibly proud of all thirteen students for representing Cedar Hill Prep with distinction on the world stage.
Behind Every Mask, a Memory in the Making
The Cedar Hill Prep Grade 7 & 8 Masquerade Dance was an evening to remember — the gowns, the suits, the energy on the dance floor, and yes… that poster. To our Grade 8s: you came, you danced, you conquered.
This school will feel your absence in the best possible way. We are so proud of everything you have brought to this community, and we will miss you more than words can say. To our Grade 7s: soak it in — your turn is next.

Math Mart: Where Entrepreneurship Meets the IB Spirit
At Cedar Hill Preparatory School, learning does not stop at the classroom door — and Math Mart is proof of that. Our Grade 7 and 8 students channeled their inner entrepreneurs this year, designing and running innovative stalls that brought together creativity, commerce, and community.
From henna artistry and decadent desserts to waffles, ramen, and beyond, each stall reflected the ingenuity and principled thinking of our
OnJune 7th, Cedar Hill Preparatory School co-hosted New Jersey's AI Prompt-athon alongside TiE NJ Next Gen and NetElixir — and the energy in the room was unlike anything else. Over 60 students from across the state gathered at CHP to ideate, collaborate, and build AIpowered presentations on real-world topics, no coding required.
It was a day of learning, discovery, and the kind of creative problem-solving that reminds
student entrepreneurs. Behind every transaction was a young mind applying real-world skills — budgeting, communication, risk-taking, and reflection — embodying the IB learner profile in the most delicious way possible.

Staff vs. Students: The Annual Showdown
The competition was fierce, the energy was electric, and the school spirit was through the roof! To celebrate the end of Finals Week, Cedar Hill Prep’s Annual Staff vs. Students Basketball and Volleyball Games brought the heat — and the laughs. The staff defended their pride with a 65–52 win on the basketball court, but the students weren’t going home empty-handed, claiming victory in volleyball 2 sets to 1.
What a way to close out the school year!
Water Play Day: The Most Refreshing Day of the Year
It would not be the end of the school year without our Annual Water Play Day — and this year did not disappoint. Students hit the water slide, cooled off at the splash pad, and topped it all off with ice pops in the sunshine.
Pure joy, from start to finish. There is truly no better way to celebrate a year well spent.
Recharging for What's Next: Teacher In-Service Week at CHP
Teacher In-Service Week wrapped up with reflection, planning, and a little fun along the way — a staff potluck, team games, and yoga to unwind before summer break. Here's to an incredible year behind us and an even better one ahead. See you in September, CHP family!
