Dear Parents,

I will be your child’s 7A homeroom teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. This is an exciting time for us all, and we look forward to great learning and positive experiences among our students, parents, and staff. Our engaging and participatory curriculum will allow your child’s natural curiosity and creativity to flourish.

This year, we are offering middle school students an opportunity to choose between art and chess class throughout the year. You will receive an email with more details.

In the following pages, I have provided information about supplies, lunch, snack, arrival, dismissal, and more. Please be sure to read through it all.

Student Safety and Supplies

For students, safety is our number one priority, so please send your child prepared with his/ her daily supplies as we will not be sharing personal items. Since we use lockers, please remember to send your child with a locker shelf, which is essential for helping the students organize their books and supplies throughout the day. Locks are not necessary. Please secure in their backpack the following items:

1) Water bottle, lunch/snack and utensils

2)Personal school supplies for the day (i.e.: pens, pencils in pencil pouch, paper, binder, etc.)

Arrival/Dismissal Procedures

Students can be dropped off at the side gate from 7:40 am. Please be punctual as Morning Assembly will begin promptly at 8:00 am in the Middle School Gym.

From 3:45 pm, students line up and are dismissed from the side gate until 4:00 pm. After 4 pm, they will be sent to After Care.

For both arrival and dismissal, you can drive up to the curb to drop off and pick up your child without parking. Please stay in your car and do not leave it unattended. No parents will be allowed past the gate for security reasons.

Uniforms

Students are required to wear regular school uniform daily (including Health class), except on gym days twice a week, when they wear their gym uniforms.

Students will receive their schedules on the first day of school. Every student should come to school in regular school uniform on the first day, Friday, September 6th .

Summer Homework

Students should remember to bring in their summer homework during the week of September 9th , or as advised by your subject teachers.

Summer Homework Assignment

Please familiarize yourself with Gradelink. Ths will be your Parent/Teacher portal for academic grades and report cards. You can also set up parent alerts to facilitate your child’s optimal learning.
