VOL. 1, issue ii/ August 2024

BULLETIN PUBLICATIONS MESSAGE Cedar Publications presents the second issue of the Bulletin! This week as the upcoming results dominating everyone's minds there are some pertinent things that we urge the students to remember. Firstly, these grades may seem very monumental but they are not the ones that decide your future. Hard work and dedication will always help you achieve your goals no matter what. A2 is a very demanding and important year of our educational journey, and one must be duly prepared for it. Commencing A2, subjects may become more challenging which is why students are expected to maintain a consistent schedule to balance both their academics as well as their extracurricular activities. A2 also brings forth the university application process, which must be taken very seriously. Do not hesitate to reach out to the counselling team for queries in this regard. Aside from the toil and tension of A2 and upcoming grades, this week was also about preparations for 14th August. This issue covers our students' efforts to make the upcoming 14th August celebrations a success, a way of showing our love and sincerity towards our home country. Let's all join hands to make a ‘Greener Pakistan’, as Cedar organises plantation drives for this year's Independence Day. Cedar Publications wishes Knights the best of luck for their results!

CAIE RESULTS Dear Knights, As you stand on the threshold of receiving your A Level results, it is only natural that you will experience a complex mix of emotions—excitement, nervousness, and perhaps even anxiety. These feelings are entirely normal, and you are not alone in experiencing them. Here are a few tips to help you manage any stress or anxiety you might feel: Breathe and Stay Grounded: When you feel your anxiety rising, take a few deep breaths. Focus on the present moment rather than worrying about what might happen. Perspective is Key: Your A Level results are important, but they do not define your worth or your future. Success comes in many forms, and there are always multiple pathways to achieve your goals. Keep things in perspective and remind yourself that this is just one step in your journey. Stay Connected: Talk to someone you trust about how you are feeling, whether it’s a friend, family member, teacher or counsellor. Sharing your thoughts can help lighten the load and provide valuable support. Plan Ahead: Consider what you will do after receiving your results, regardless of the outcome. Having a plan can provide a sense of control and direction. Whether your results meet your expectations or not, there are always options and opportunities ahead. Celebrate Your Efforts: Regardless of the outcome, take pride in the effort you have put into your studies. You have made it through a challenging period, and that is an achievement in itself. Finally, remember to be kind to yourself. Your journey is uniquely yours, and this moment is just one chapter in a much larger story. Embrace whatever comes next with an open heart and a positive mindset. With resilience, determination, and a healthy perspective, you can navigate this transition and whatever lies ahead with confidence. Aysha Sheikh
