To God be the Glory for all He has done!
Pastor PatriciaA. Turnage
Happy Family and Friends Day! As a Certified Health Minister I want to greet everyone and let you know of some facts concerning COVID-19. This year has been filled with lots of information about what to do to protect yourself against COVID-19. May 11th marks the end of the COVID19 virus according to the Department of Health and Human Services. It is reported that COVID-19 is no longer the disruptive force it once was. Since January 2021, COVID-19 deaths have declined by 95% and hospitalizations are down nearly 91%. It is good to hear this report but for the elderly among us and those who have a compromised immune system I would suggest that you continue to wear your masks and continue to practice social distancing when necessary. If you visit the hospitals – masks are optional unless directed otherwise. Family and Friends should both be aware of how critically important it is to keep yourselves healthy. Women in their 40s are now being asked to start having early mammograms. Last but not least – the summer is on its way – so stay hydrated! Drink lots of water and drink less soda and sweet tea. God has brought us through the pandemic. Praise His Holy Name! We must never forget that thousands of people died but we are still alive! We thank God for letting us live through something we had never seen before. We are truly thankful for all of our children, grandchildren, and for blessing some of us with great-grandchildren because we know that children are our future.

Family & Friends – today, we celebrate you! We want you to feel welcome and we want you to feel at home because we are “Back Together Again!” We are so glad to see it go – but we will never forget COVID-19 and the storm that came through a few months back and caused a great deal of damage to some of the homes in this area including our church building. Our steeple was blown down. We are happy to say with grateful hearts that - we will ‘Dedicate’ a new steeple to the Lord in our Worship experience today and thank Him for providing all that we have needed to be able to get “Back Together Again!”
It is my pleasure to welcome you in celebration of our “Family & Friends Day.”
After today, don’t stay away – we look forward to seeing you back here again and again!

Family & Friends Day
“
Back Together Again!”

Those we love remain with us for love itself lives on. Cherished memories never fade because a loved one is gone. Those we love can never be more than a thought apart. For as long as there is a memory they’ll live on in our hearts.

Steeple Dedication ………………………………………..…….… Pastor Patricia A. Turnage
People: In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. We consecrate this Steeple to the glory of God.
Pastor: Let us pray,
Most loving God, without you no words or works of ours have meaning. Accept the gifts of our hands as symbols of our devotion. Grant us your blessing, as we have consecrated this gift to your glory, that it may be an enduring witness before all your people, and that our lives may be consecrated in your service; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Pastor: The Lord be with you.
People: And also with you.
Pastor: Lift up your hearts.
People: We lift them up to the Lord.
Pastor: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
People: It is right to give our thanks and praise.
Pastor: And so, with your people on earth and all the company of heaven we praise your name and join their unending hymn:
People: Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.
Pastor: And so, in remembrance of these your mighty acts in Jesus Christ, we offer ourselves in praise and thanksgiving as a holy and living sacrifice, in union with Christ’s offering for us, as we proclaim the mystery of faith.
Everyone: Christ has died; Christ is risen; Christ will come again.
Pastor: All honor and glory is yours, almighty Father (God), now and for ever. Amen
The Lord’s Prayer
Our father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver Us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen

A Prayer for Your Family

Lord, bless my family and children. Give them hearts that follow after you. Give my family the strength to not be afraid. Give them the courage to stand up to what is right. Produce within them an attitude of integrity, giving their lives to giving you glory. Protect each family member under the shadow of your wings. Lord, help us to find our strength in you. Increase our unity and peace as we seek to follow after you. Amen
Thank You from the Committee
The Family and Friends Day Committee would like to personally thank each of you for your spiritual, financial, physical, and any other support you gave to help make this a joyous occasion. A special thank you to all of our program participants, musicians, the Reunion Choir and DiVine of Annapolis!
This day would not have been possible without each of you. It is our prayer that God will richly bless you and your family.
