1.1 COOPERS CROSS COMMERCIAL - DUBLIN, D01 Project Title: Coopers Cross Commercial Location: Dublin, D01 Client: Kennedy Wilson Main Contractor: Sisk Procurement Route: Pre-Construction Tender Agreement (PCSA) / Traditional Construction Cost: Confidential Planning Decision: Planning approval granted in January 2020 Software: Revit (BIM Level 2)/AutoCAD/Enscape

BUILDING 1

BUILDING 2

Project Brief: Coopers Cross Commercial is a dynamic new campus style office development located at the heart of the North Docklands precinct. It consists of two new six storey office buildings, with two levels of below ground accommodation. The office spaces are designed for maximum efficiency and flexibility with compact central cores and bright, open floor-plates. The buildings themselves reflect the industrial heritage of the site through the use of colours, metals and forms that have a direct connection to a previous time. Both building volumes are expressed similarly where the East and West facades are enclosed by either an extruded matrix of bronze elements or a series of vertical copper diamond louvers, while the North and South facades are open and fully glazed providing transparency and visual Permeability. The buildings respond to the adjusted landscape and levels, while creating a series of interesting spaces around them. The buildings also act together to project one common expression onto Mayor Street. A dynamic stepped street is introduced between the buildings which cascades down to a lower level, and continues into the building allowing for a tiered town hall space to present itself back out onto the public realm. Glass lifts link between the upper and lower deck, which is occupied by shops, cafes and other uses including a second primary entrance to the commercial building. A unique glass box sits in the centre of the street as an entry point to a large exhibition hall that spans beneath. This acts as a distinctive landmark encouraging people working, living or visiting to explore the campus.

PERSONAL INVOLVEMENT Job Position: Senior Architect Main Tasks: Project team member from late planning to completion with a greater focus on coordination and development of the facade and internal screen design and technical details and delivery on site; responsible for drawing packages coordination with the support of the BIM model. 3.0 ARCHITECT / ARCHITECTURAL ASSISTANT AT HAINES PHILLIPS ARCHITECTS 3.3 RE-DEVELOPMENT OF 119 ESSEX ROAD - LONDON, N1 Project Title: 119 Essex Road Location: London, N1 2SN Client: Pembroke Estates LLP Procurement Route: Traditional Contract Value: £1.6M Planning Decision: Proposals approved in June 2015 by the Islington Council Software: Vectorworks BIM (BIM Level 0-2)

119 Essex Road before the refurbishment

119 Essex Road at works completion

Main Elevation on Essex Road at completion

Elevation on Astey’s Row

Project Brief: The development is located on a prominent corner of Essex Road in Islington, facing the South Library, a large red brick Grade II Listed Building. The proposals consist of the partial demolition of the existing building, down to first floor level. The existing steel frame and building foundations were retained and lightweight construction introduced above for the new upper floors and roof. The existing first floor elevation along the angled corner of the site, addressing the South Library building, is also extended by one floor, but with an elevation set back from the existing and incorporating banding and cornice details in Portland stone in order to respect the detail, materials and formality of the north eastern elevation of the South Library as it addresses the pedestrian link space between the two buildings. Six contemporary flats are arranged over 4 floors above the Costa coffee shop that remained operational throughout the construction works. The accommodation within the top part of the mansard roof is arranged around an internal terrace that abuts the flank party wall of the adjoining building. Conservation rooflights are proposed in a discrete and subservient arrangement to provide dual aspect daylight and sunlight and ventilation. The works commenced on site in June 2016 and were completed in September 2017.

PERSONAL INVOLVEMENT Job Position: Architectural Assistant (Part 3) Main Tasks: Preparing production information and tender package with the other members of the technical design team. Liaising with the other consultants, specialists and manufacturers. Internal layout design and technical design. Attending site meetings and site visits. RIBA Stages Involvement: 4-5-6
