I wanted you, Before you were born About Me My approach to photography is both artistic and journalistic, I am always trying to find the composition and light that best tells the story. My very favorite images are people I've caught in the moment. Capturing the vibrance of life and emotion that makes each of us unique. It is both fun and fulfilling to share this experience with those who collaborate with me to I specialize in natural light image capture for both Maternity and Newborn photography and find that most homes have enough light to create beautiful images. In some cases I need a little boost, so I always carry strobes and light modifiers and keep them within easy reach All my work is on location, your home, a friends home, at the beach or at the park. Restricting my image capture to location assignments allows me to keep my prices at a level where most families can invest in the custom portrait experience and fine art prints. Sometimes I create mini sets that simulate a studio setting but most of the time

cynthia terrell photography Celebrating a Miracle Maternity sessions are all about capturing that special glow surrounding expectant mommies. and the miracle of the life she is nurturing. On the day of our session It is important that you feel relaxed and comfortable. So please make this day all about you. Schedule your manicure and pedicure the day before our session and maybe a facial or a massage, Pamper yourself but keep our day free of other appointments and distractions. A few hours before our session, please remove anything that may cause lines on your body such as socks, maternity pants, jewelry, undergarments, and belly supports. Wearing a loosefitting nightgown or robe prior to the session is best. And because most pregnancy sessions do include some nudity, the robe will come in handy. Your home will be the backdrop for many of the photos so be sure you clear away any clutter in the rooms where we will be working. Only those being photographed should be present during our session. If you would like your children to be included in some of the photos, childcare is a must for the remainder of the session.
Investment $350 Maternity and Newborn Package Includes pre session consultation, image editing, minor retouching a “sneak peek” slide show of low resolution images to share with family and friends or post on your social networks. Maternity Session/2-2.5 hours of shooting with multiple looks and outfit changes, one 11x14 print. Newborn session/4-4.5 hours of shooting with multiple looks and outfit changes, a set of 25 5x7 folded cards with envelopes. Viewing session where you select your favorite images, .and discuss print and display options. A private online gallery available for two weeks after the viewing session
Scheduled separately, the Maternity Session is $175 and Includes one 8x10 or smaller desk print. The Newborn Session is $250 and includes a set of (25) 5x7 flat cards with envelopes 1/2 of the creative fee is required to hold your date, The other half is required before the session date.
Fleeting Moments Creating photographs of your newborn is an experience like none other, those tiny fingers and toes, pokey little mouth and button nose will all be gone in the flash of an eye. Once your infant reaches the 10 day milestone he may not sleep quite as soundly and will certainly not be comfortable in that newborn curl. If you want to document these precious first days, it is best to schedule your session before the baby is born and set aside time to capture these images as soon as possible after you come home from the hospital. A newborn session can take three to five hours to complete - to allow time for feeding, changing and comforting. Including siblings or grandparents will extend the time a bit more.
