Welcome to Issue 16 of CDi. As we head into the summer months, I would like to begin by thanking you for your support. I am pleased to share that we have been able to continue our strong start to the year. This is driven by our ongoing investment in range and depth of stocks, leading to continued customer confidence across our full range of products.
The industry continues to evolve rapidly, bringing with it both challenges and, more importantly, opportunities for us and our customers alike. Our focus remains firmly on continuous improvement, ensuring you can depend on our investment in availability and our dedication to customer service. None of this would be possible without the hard work of all colleagues, whose efforts are genuinely appreciated.
We remain committed to making it easier for you to do business with us. This includes operational improvements, such as the newly installed conveyors in our Cork branch and the roll out of Warehouse Management System. These are already helping with increased pick accuracy by scanners, whilst also improving turnaround times in the branch. A larger investment in a comprehensive conveyor system has been ordered for our Dublin warehouse. This will
be installed in the coming weeks allowing us to activate our WMS, so we expect our accuracy and speed to increase there also. We have ongoing projects to improve our warranty processes and training for colleagues, all of which contribute to our ambition to continue to be a better supplier for you and your business.
Our investment in operations is matched by the work done by our commercial team, who liaise with our suppliers to ensure you have confidence in the ranges we have available . One of our latest additions is an extensive range of Febi core free calipers at all sites, details of which you will find later in this addition. Our Bosch braking range continues to grow, becoming a comprehensive solution for our market. With Blue Print braking, Apec and Brembo all available from stock, we are heavily invested in ensuring you have access to braking solutions, whatever your needs.
Following the successful MechanExpert roadshows in April, the team were back on the road again at the start of June in Fermoy, Cork, and Portlaoise. Attendance at these shows continues to impress, thanks to the motor factors who seize the chance to champion the events. The recent events had TechTalks from Meyle, Bosch giveaways

Cleaning fluid for clearing the engine interior of troublesome deposits. Brings all types of oil-soluble and oilinsoluble residues into suspension and removes these from the oil circuit during the next oil change. Following this, the engine that has been cleared of deposits and contaminants and the fresh oil can then deliver its full performance. Wear in the engine is thus reduced and the service life is extended.

Cleans the engine from the inside and removes deposits from oil holes, bearings, the piston ring area, etc. Reduces engine noise and oil consumption, improves compression and increases operating reliability of the vehicle. Allows the fresh oil to realise its full potential following an oil change.
Highly effective additive combination for the effective removal of soiling on the inside of the engine before the oil change. Dissolves oil residues and deposits, envelops dirt particles and transports them out of the oil circuit when the waste oil is drained. The fresh oil can then deliver its full performance in the cleaned engine. This ensures rapid oil penetration, optimal engine performance, minimised wear and reduced exhaust emissions.

The additives contained provide optimum care for rubber and plastic seals in the steering gear. Prevents oil loss, stops oil loss in steering gears that drip and regenerates hardened seals. Holes and ducts of the steering gear are cleaned and the performance of the oil is thus revitalised. The noise levels are reduced, the service life is extended and the repair costs are lowered.
Oil Smoke Stop 300ML
It’s hard to locate small leaks caused by stone chipping, porous soldered connections or hairline cracks in the cooling system on water-cooled engines – the only clue is in the reduced coolant level. This dispersion completely seals this type of leaks immediately and safeguards the combustion chamber against damage caused by coolant ingress. Compatible with all conventional coolant additives and antifreezes.
Reduces the oil consumption of gasoline and diesel engines via the piston rings and valve guides. It prevents blue smoke and oil mist and acts against the loss in viscosity in motor oil. The MoS2 lubrication enhancer contained forms a high-load lubricating film on all rubbing and sliding metal surfaces. It reduces friction and ensures smoother running of the assemblies. Contains highly concentrated MoS2 to reduce wear in manual and differential transmissions, axle drives without integrated wet differential locks and mechanical steering systems. MoS2 reduces temperature peaks and ensures quieter running and smoother shifting. Increases the performance of the engine. Removes deposits in the carburetor, on valves and spark plugs and in the combustion chamber and prevents new deposits from forming. Saves fuel. Reduces pollutant emissions, thus optimising smoke opacity prior to emissions test. Successfully tested in international test bench analyses. MechanExpert Technical Roadshow
The April series of the MechanExpert Technical Roadshow successfully launched in Newtownards, continued in Downpatrick, and concluded in Dungannon, engaging students, apprentices, and trade professionals across all three events. Supported by Network Auto, with expert sessions from ZF and Bosch and engagement from regional colleges and partner brands, each stop delivered TechTalk and networking.
The June shows in Fermoy, Cork, and Portlaoise were a great success thanks to our factors and partner brands. We are looking forward to the shows in September in Dublin and Coleraine.
