While work was in progress to resurface and restripe the road, the jersey barriers were removed and several on-street parking spaces were lost in both directions. With completion of the roadwork, new median barriers have been installed and parking spaces are once again available. All reports show that work in this regard is continuing as discussed and on schedule. “Throughout this process, our goal has been to ensure protection of our underground utility lines and we appreciate that the state DOT, the project’s conwhat we had to say and are working with us to address our concerns,” said Riverbay General Manager Noel Ellison. “We are nearing completion of this portion of the project and will monitor the ongoing activities and bring concerns, if any, to the group we’ve been working with thus far. We are also grateful to Deputy Secretary Lopez for keeping an eye on this and reporting regularly back to us.” Photo courtesy of NYSDOT
