New All-In-One MTA App Goes Live BY BRANDON ORTIZ

While the application is currently in a beta testing phase, the current plan is to have the app available for download in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store later this year, according to the MTA’s Aug. 8th announcement. The new app will replace the MyMTA app, which was released in July of 2018. Individuals interested in testing the new MTA app can sign up at https://new. Garage #7 Front Elevator Update Champion has reported that the front elevator in Garage #7 was out of service due to a power supply issue which has been corrected and the elevator returned to service. This outage was not related to any of the repairs previously done on the elevator. Separately, Champion is currently ordering parts/material for the modernization of all 16 garage elevators This project will begin in March of 2024. Once work begins, one elevator at a time in each garage will be rePRYHG IURP VHUYLFH IRU DSSUR[LPDWHO\ WZR PRQWKV :KHQ WKH ¿UVW HOHYDtor is modernized and returned to service, the second elevator will be shut down and modernized. Completion of the campus-wide garage modernization project is anticipated to be by August 2024. Walton, Cary Smith III, and Warren Mitchell – are continuing to make progress with conducting the walk-throughs of public spaces of the buildings and grounds with the Building and Townhouses Associations identiI\LQJ DQG QRWLQJ GH¿FLHQFLHV WKDW LPSDFW WKH TXDOLW\ of life for the shareholders. During these visits, we have noticed several cosmetic items, like painting, that are needed throughout the campus. These items will be addressed contingent upon the approved Corporate Budget. Priority will be given to those conditions that impact the health and safety of shareholders and their families. The data gathered from the walk-throughs will be used as we plan future Operating and Capital budgeted expenditures. Plans are to complete the SURSHUW\ ZDON WKURXJKV E\ $XJXVW IRU WKRVH $VVRFLDWLRQ OHDGHUV who respond to the individual emails and phone calls initiated by Management to the Building and Townhouse Associations’ leadership. Mayor Eric Adams, First Deputy Sheena Wright and the city’s Gun Violence Protection Task Force have announced a new plan that the city will use to address gun violence. The plan, called a “A Blueprint for Community Safety,” will invest more than $485 million in various avenues that aim to combat gun violence in all ¿YH ERURXJKV First established in June of 2022, the Gun Violence Protection Task Force KDV EHHQ ZRUNLQJ RQ ¿QGLQJ FRPSUHKHQVLYH VROXWLRQV WR WKH FLW\¶V JXQ YLRlence problem and is co-chaired by First Deputy Sheena Wright and Man Up! Inc. Founder A.T. Mitchell. An important aspect of the task force’s work so far involved communicating with approximately 1500 New Yorkers across the FLW\ WR JDLQ D EHWWHU XQGHUVWDQGLQJ RI JXQ YLROHQFH¶V LPSDFW DQG ¿QG PRUH ZD\V to address the root causes.
