ROADS TO RECOVERY

LOCAL road maintenance in Glenorchy will receive a $2.8 million funding boost under the Federal Government’s Roads to Recovery Program. Liberal Senator Eric Abetz said $2,894,515 would be allocated between 2019/20 to 2023/24 to allow the Council to progress a number of high-priority projects, using local knowledge to deliver the best local roads. “The Federal Government is committed to getting Australians home sooner and safer, no matter where they live,” he said. “We are investing in infrastructure right across the country to lay the foundations for economic recovery on the other side of the COVID-19 pandemic STORY CONTINUES PAGE 2
