MUSICIANS AND MEDIA TO BATTLE IT OUT AT RECLINK COMMUNITY CUP

THE Reclink Australia Community Cup has returned for 2021, with the Hobart event promising to be a great day for the community.

This year’s theme, ‘Talking to a stranger’ by the Hunters and Collectors, was inspored by community connection and is echoed through the Reclink Australia Community Cup events that are happening across the country.

The Hobart Reclink Community Cup will be held on Sunday 22 August at Queenborough Oval, and will include fundraising, music and grassroots footy, as the musicians team of the Van Diemen Dogs take on the community radio and media team of the RaMONAS.

“We look forward to seeing you all at the return of the Reclink Community Cup for an exciting day of grassroots footy and music,” Reclink Australia Tasmanian state manager Richard Allenby said.

While footy is the star on the day of the cup, the event is also renowned for its incredible bill of pre-match, half-time and post-match bands, with performances from some of the state’s most well known artists.

Tim Rozemulder, EWAH and The Vision of Paradise, and Mountains of Madness will be part of this year’s line-up.

The Reclink Community Cup provides a valuable contribution to Reclink’s annual fundraising efforts, with support helping bridge the gap of funding lost in 2020 and helping our local communities through Reclink’s programs.

Reclink’s structured sport, art and recreations programs improve life outcomes for those experiencing mental illness, family violence, homelessness, social isolation, gambling harm, unemployment, and drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Tickets are available for the Hobart Reclink Community Cup at www. communitycup.com.au for $12 for adults, $8 for under 18s, or $30 for a family.
