Take something as ordinary as a mud room or laundry room. These two smaller spaces in a home have existed for years, yet only now are we beginning to see these two ordinary rooms transform into something magnificent. Recent consumer trends indicate that convenience is number one priority for lifestyle preference. We see it all day long with dry cleaning delivered to your door, various food delivery services, and even in-home salon services. This latest mudroom makeover is all a matter of convenient cleanliness. People are combining laundry rooms and mud rooms into one awesome storage and cleaning space, making the rather dull task of doing laundry or storing jackets, coats, and sports gear a little more exciting. Another popular trend for mom or dad is to paint an accent wall in your mud room with chalkboard paint. Or, if you would rather your chalkboard notes go unnoticed by guests, paint the inside of a mud room cabinet with the paint for your own personal, note taking. Your weekly schedule, chore chart, and grocery list can all go in one convenient place for you to take note when you are running out the door.
