CCM's 2014-15 Mainstage Series opens with Shakespeare's MACBETH.
11th century Scotland - a world of brutality, wickedness and armor.
In this dark and twisted landscape, Macbeth will go to any means necessary to prove that he's a man (even if this Macbeth is played by a woman). With the help of his wife, and pushed by a trio of gnarly creatures (witches who were women once), Macbeth schemes to take the throne and eliminate anyone standing in his way. Brant Russell directs in his Mainstage Series debut!
Shakespeare's most popular play, MACBETH is performed more often than any of his other works. Remarkably, though, this is the first time that CCM Drama has ever presented the iconic tragedy!
