Little Seed Library Coming in May

Slow Food Lake Tahoe is bringing a Little Seed Library to Glenshire. Arriving in early May, it will be placed near the Clubhouse. A different seed will be promoted each year with growing tips, nutritional information and recipes. SFLT will provide a free packet of seeds that you can take home and grow in your garden. It is their way of inviting residents to learn about how to grow your own food. The SFLT mission is to cultivate a community committed to local food production and increased local food security, through education and demonstration of high-elevation gardening techniques. Green Waste Drop-off Events

Self Service: drop-off your residential yard waste at the Truckee Rodeo Grounds from 8am - 2pm on July 14, 28 or August 12. Please limit loads to three yards per trip. Please, no bags, rocks, dirt, commercial yard waste, rounds larger than 24 inches, stumps, boards, or trash.

Truckee Day 2022 June 4, 8am - 12pm

Join us for the 19th annual Truckee Day on Saturday, June 4th. Let's show our love for our amazing town by rallying our community together to beautify our streets.

Volunteers will meet at neighborhood check-in stations between 8am - 10am to receive supplies, a Truckee Day t-shirt, and a road assignment. Participants will collect litter from 9am - 12pm on Truckee streets and trails in designated orange bags. Please leave your bags on the edge of the street and they will be collected by TTSD the following week. Children are welcome if they are accompanied by a responsible adult.

PARTY TIME at 12 noon! Come on down to the Truckee River Regional Park, 10500 Brockway Road, to enjoy music, a free BBQ to reward your hard-earned work, and the Community Expo.
