The Local’s Heroes Parade on July 3 will feature traditional heroes like veterans, firefighters, and Washoe County Sheriff peace officers, as well as the health care workers, educators, and service workers. In addition to floats, there will be a bike parade, classic cars, dogs, and an assortment of fire and rescue vehicles. It is a collaboration between the Incline Village Community and Business Association, Rotary Club of Tahoe-Incline, and Washoe Sheriff’s Office. The parade will run along Incline Way, starting at Bowl Incline and ending at Sierra Nevada University on Country Club Drive.

The Washoe Sheriff’s Office is holding a Meet and Greet directly after the parade at Sierra Nevada University, complete with parade vehicles and deputies from the Incline Substation.

Other events in the “Local Heroes 4th of July Weekend” include two pancake breakfasts and a 10k race. The North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District is hosting its annual pancake breakfast on July 3 at the Incline Station. The Veterans Club is hosting its annual Pancake Breakfast on July 4 at Aspen Gove. The Firecracker Race on July 4 is a fundraiser for the Cross-Country Team at SNU.
