Welcome to the Chargers athletic program! The Chargers athletic program is a ministry of Christ Community Lutheran School and is designed to promote participation and competition in interscholastic sports for both boys and girls. We believe that the opportunity for participation in a wide variety of interscholastic sports is a vital part of the student's educational experience. Such participation is a privilege that carries with it responsibilities to the activity, to the student body, to the community, and to the students themselves. These experiences contribute to the development of learning skills and emotional patterns that enable the student to make maximum use of his/her education. John Wooden once stated, “The best competition I have is against myself to become better. It is our hope that all of the CCLS student athletes become better through their involvement in the Chargers athletic program. While we pray for a physically safe experience for all participants, we also hope for a fine display of sportsmanship by parents and athletes alike. Winning with grace and losing with dignity pleases our Lord, for whom we play. We pray that you will be blessed through participation in Chargers athletics! Royce Hartmann, CCLS Athletic Director
