A fabric pillowcase was used to allow for the texturing of surfaces and to produce indentations.
The result is a partially self- supported roof with structural columns helping carry the load.
To address the lack of order in the structure, the joints between the columns and the roof structure were investigated further by casting the columns directly against the underside of the roof. This allowed the columns to reliably interlock with the roof struc ture, creating a more stable joint.
Giving particular importance to the dichotomy of the cast concrete and the impression of softness. An exploration of the creases created by flexible formworks for potential roof fragments.
Three chosen casts were rearranged to create a wide variety of sheltered spaces.

The goal is to provide more habitats along the river for bats, which are losing their natural shelters when housing developments appear along the river.
The brief was to design a sustainable space along the Hogsmill River that would help the local wildlife flourish.
Community members will build and design bat boxes and hang them above the Hogsmill River along bat-inspired structures.
Proposed to host a Build Your Own Bat-Box (B.Y.O.B.B) workshop.
Studio-wide competition to build a small space along the Hog smill River in Kingston upon Thames.

Balance large building elements with thin, almost invisible cables, creating an illusion of a floating building.
Formed a peaceful space tucked into the underbelly of the lightweight membrane. Skylight creates a viewing point framing the sky from a sheltered space.

The Richard Rodgers building in 2001 has its installations on the outside resulting in a detailed and complex build ing without any typical ornamentation.
The business kept growing over the next decade, several expansions added a gun shooting range and, another floor to the building. The building expanded ans integrated the façade of the Coronation House which lies within a conservation area.
1890s Lloyd’s Register Shipping Insurance was large enough to move into its own office: a classical Italian manner was designed by Thomas Edward Collcutt.

05a 2021-22 RYE LANE, LONDON CARE & REPAIR RYE LANE WEST ELEVATION With a focus on Care & Repair for the existing environment, the project brief asked us to bring our own interest to a site on Rye Lane and creatively transform an existing space. Peckham is a rapidly developing area in South London with a rich cultural diversity and one of the most famous retail streets in London, Rye Lane.

BLENHEIM GROVE SOUTH ELEVATION

The project provides a sustainable framework for local businesses to grow, exterior spaces for visitors to relax and eat, and a rooftop for all to train-watch and take in the site’s richness while greening an area of 1000m2 in central
PECKHAM2021-22SCAFFOLDMARKETCARE&REPAIR
ThePeckham.Scaffold Market re-purposes materials found on-site from the previous scaffolding yard to create a vibrant mix of markets, workshops, art exhibitions, and community spaces, promoting local business and adding to the proposed Peckham Coal Line. The site serves as a backdrop to an industrial, dynamic public project. The re-wilding of spaces forms a relaxed, fragmented environment for everyone to find their interest. A robust, responsive design planned for the future, serv ing as a flexible environment where building & design lessons can be re-ap plied to other brown sites around Rye Lane. The project will re-purpose and re-use the existing to adapt to life on a high street.

MARKET STREET RENDER

The project is inspired by Rye Lane’s chaotic and jumbled energy, essentially extending the famous street away from roads to create an environment for pedestrians and cyclists.
The Peckham Scaffold Market offers an open space away from the compact and often crowded Rye Lane curbs. Promoting creativity, innovation, education, nature, and connectedness through design. Visitors will have more to do around the area when shopping at the historic Khan’s Bargains or exploring the different floors of Peckham Levels. Connecting two high streets, adding green space in Rye Lane and re-purposing ex isting infrastructure to create a community-led development
