Your support made it possible More than 10 years ago God called Dr. Robert Campbell and Dr. Grant Scarborough together with a vision to provide affordable, quality healthcare to the underserved. They spent hours praying and scouring urban Augusta for a place to open a clinic. In November 2007 the doors of Christ Community opened with the mission to proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord and demonstrate His love through healthcare.
We started with a staff of 4. Since that time we’ve grown to a staff of 80. In that first year we logged 3,600 patient visits. We now we complete more than 24,000 visits a year.
God has been gracious to us. He has provided for our every need. And He’s done it in large part through His people in the community. We thank you for your generosity over these 10 years. We pray that God will continue to stir your hearts to use the gifts He has given you to partner with us to provide high quality medical care in this community and to proclaim Jesus Christ and demonstrate His love through it. “I couldn’t be in a better place” Your support helps Eddie get back on his feet When Eddie started coming to Christ Community 8 years ago, things weren’t looking so good. He was out of a job and homeless but he couldn’t get back to work without getting his health taken care of. “I came to Christ Community after a trip to the hospital because of my health issues. Turns out I have lymphedema, which causes a ton of fluid build-up in my legs. Also, my diabetes was out of control,” Eddie said. “I’d be in bad shape if it weren’t for Christ Community. I was too sick to earn income and I was staying in a shelter.” “Christ Community is a good place to be. I’m doing so much better with my health now. My diabetes is under control, my legs are being taken care of. I’ve been treated with kindness and respect. I couldn’t be in a better place. ” Without the support of generous donors like you, we wouldn’t be able to offer patients like Eddie the care they need to get back on their feet.

Kay has been coming to Christ Community Health for 8 years. She started coming because, “My husband lost his job and that’s when we lost our insurance. We were broke and we were sick. That’s when my sister told me about Christ Community.” “I finally got back on insurance about a year ago and I found out I had uterine cancer. The doctors at Christ Community helped me get connected to the local cancer center. My prognosis seems good now.” “At Christ Community, I got the same kind of care before I had insurance and after I got it back.
