“I don’t know how I’d be doing if I didn’t have Christ Community.” You’re a part of Kristina’s story. It’s been amazing to watch God work as our dental clinic ramps up. Your financial gifts and prayers have helped provide health and dental care to thousands of patients who desperately needed it. Kristina has been coming to Christ Community Health for four years. When she started coming, she had severe back pain. She experienced healing through referrals, surgery, and consistent, quality care. Talking about her experience at Christ Community Health she says, “They make sure you’re okay. They make sure you’re on the right medicines and that you’re on the right treatment plan. My health is getting better all the time. I don’t know how I’d be doing if I didn’t have Christ Community.” Kristina also says, “The dental clinic is awesome, too. Dental Clinic Dedicated

Your gifts made the Tony Neal Dental Clinic a reality A group of friends and family gathered recently for the dedication of the The H. Anthony ‘Tony’ Neal Dental Clinic at our Olde Town Health Center. Dr. Neal, an oral surgeon, has served the Augusta community since 1976. He is co-founder of the Center for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (CFOMS) and is the only dentist to have served as Chief of Staff at University Hospital. Dr. Neal embodies the mission of Christ Community. “Providing good dental care to people often improves their overall physical health, reducing hospitalizations and healthcare costs.” Dr. Tony Neal

With your support, since opening in January, we’ve provided dental care to more than 500 patients. We’re excited to announce that Wiley Purcell, DMD, will join us as our 2nd full-time dentist in July. We’re very grateful for the support of Dr. Neal and the dental community. “I just want my smile back.” It was alarming to find out that Richmond County ranks near the bottom of Georgia counties for health outcomes (135 out of 159) and that dental pain is the 4th leading cause of emergency room visits in the CSRA. Since opening our dental clinic in January, we’ve been privileged to serve more than 500 patients. Many of them have waited years for this service to become available at Christ Community. I hear countless stories of men and women who have felt neglected, ashamed and disheartened because of the condition of their teeth. Recently, a patient came to see me wanting a denture but couldn’t afford the surgery to have her last remaining teeth removed. She was turned down at every job interview she went to because of her “snaggly loose teeth.” She said, “All I want are these teeth out so I can get my smile back and get a job.” Thankfully, our team was able to provide her with the surgery she needed and restored her confidence to carry on with her goal of employment. We have a unique opportunity to take care of the sick and poor of our city and it’s a blessing to minister and share the love of Jesus through dental care. Thank you for your support! Go and tell John what you have seen and heard: the blind receive sight, and lame walk, lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and poor have good news preached to them. “I turned my life back over to Christ.”

Marie came to the area less than a year ago. When she moved, she lost her health insurance and needed to find a doctor. She heard about Christ Community Health from a local pharmacy and got an appointment soon after. We caught up with Marie during her recent dental visit and heard more about her journey regarding health care and her spiritual life. Not only did Marie find a doctor and a dentist, she also found Jesus. “Once I came to the clinic I turned my life back over to Christ.” God met Marie here and reminded her that He is in control of her life and He will take care of her.

“At my first visit, my blood pressure was really high. Through the roof! My doctor recommended things to lower my stress like meditation, prayer, and relaxing. I began to read the Bible and started to relax because I gave my life and concerns over to Christ.” Marie’s blood pressure is a lot better now that she has learned to give her cares over to God. Your support of Christ Community Health gave Marie the opportunity to receive quality health care, dental care, and hear the Gospel.
