You helped make “joy” a part of Al’s healthcare experience “I’m overjoyed that my health is in the hands of the people who work here.” “Overjoyed” is not how most people usually describe their healthcare experiences. But, thanks to your support, that’s exactly what one patient recently told us. Al came to Christ Community in 2010. “I’ve never felt as comfortable as I am with the doctors here. It’s just been a great experience. In fact, I’ve sent several friends and family members to Christ Community.” “I’ve got a 92 year old aunt I referred down here. I’m trying to convince my brother to come here. He’s afraid of doctors but I told him if he comes here he won’t be!” “Everybody is so nice. They all have a Christian attitude. We caught up with Aisha in the reception area of our dental clinic and asked her that question. “For me, I would tell someone it’s because of the experience I’ve had at Christ Community,” said Aisha, a medical and dental patient. Aisha has been a patient here since 2013. “I found out about Christ Community because my mom was a patient. I tried it. I liked it, too, so here I am all these years later.” “I’ve been here for a long time. I don’t plan on going anywhere else. I’m happy with both the medical and dental care I’ve gotten.” “I would recommend Christ Community to anyone. I’m very satisfied with the pricing. It fits my budget. Your support helped Sheila find physical and spiritual care For Sheila, it was just another day at work until a nurse from Christ Community walked in to the restaurant and told her about this new clinic in town that offered affordable healthcare to those who needed it. Sheila’s job at the restaurant didn’t offer benefits so she was excited to check out this new health clinic. “I called for an appointment and have been coming to Christ Community since 2008. The care I get here is amazing. My doctor is so nice. He always takes time to pray for me at the end of an appointment. He even helped me find a church close enough for me to walk to from my house. Going to Christ Community changed my life. My doctor helping me find a church home has been the best thing that’s happened to me. I’m there every week and love learning more about Jesus and serving my neighborhood with them.” Your support of Christ Community Health helps our patients not only find the health care they need, but also the spiritual and emotional care they need too.

Spending extra time with our patients I began working at Christ Community in the fall of 2017.
One afternoon as I was getting to know a new patient when she said, “You probably have to go see your next patient.” Not thinking much about it I replied, “I’m happy to spend time with you.”
She looked up at me and said, “No one has ever told me they are happy to spend time with me. I’m going to remember that for the rest of my life. I’m going to go home and tell my son that I’m happy to spend time with him. He’ll be grinning from ear to ear.”
It’s in the little moments like these that I’m reminded how God uses us here at Christ Community to advance His Kingdom. Those few extra minutes really brightened that patient’s day. Your support makes it possible to provide care for our patients’ physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Thank you!
