The Civil Contractors Federation South Australia (CCF SA) has established itself over a fiftyyear period as the peak body for the civil construction industry in South Australia.
OVER THE NEXT THREE YEARS, THE BOARD AND EXECUTIVE OF CCF SA PLAN TO BUILD ON WHAT CCF SA DOES WELL:
for the interests of all civil contractors, our allied partners and the industry
our membership through events and opportunities to build connections and knowledge
leading training through Civil Train and the State’s first civil construction apprenticeship
the next generation of civil contractors through our Group Training Organisation
In addition to these core responsibilities, CCF SA will be raising the bar.
We have a bold new vision that sees the civil construction industry being widely recognised for what we know it is: an essential foundation to the prosperity of South Australia.
We want all South Australians to understand this critical role: not only what the industry does but what it contributes.
Essential infrastructure like roads, bridges, airstrips, pipelines, drainage, ports and utilities. Land development and earthmoving that underpin the residential and commercial building construction industries and the provision of services which all households and businesses rely on like power, water, communications and gas.
The civil construction industry is also a magnet for investment into our State, a provider of vast employment opportunities, with the potential to offer a diverse range of careers for young people.
Civil construction contributes to the quality of life in South Australia and the health of its economy.
CCF SA will continue supporting the civil construction industry to be skilled, sustainable and profitable.
We will respond to the needs of civil contractors, build industry capability and influence actions that will benefit the industry and, in turn, all South Australians.
OVER THE NEXT THREE YEARS, CCF SA WILL FOCUS ON EXPANDING THE SIZE, DEPTH AND BREADTH OF OUR MEMBERSHIP BASE AND SEEK TO INVOLVE MORE MEMBERS IN OUR DECISION-MAKING.
We want to better understand the events and support services that are most valued by our members and ensure we are the go-to source of advice for the industry.
We will be responsive and proactive in meeting the emerging needs of our members and the industry.
OVER THE NEXT THREE YEARS, CCF SA WILL FOCUS ON LIFTING THE PROFILE OF THE INDUSTRY THROUGH A PUBLIC CAMPAIGN THAT SHINES A SPOTLIGHT ON THE ACHIEVEMENTS OF OUR CIVIL CONTRACTORS AND RAISES COMMUNITY AWARENESS.
We know that our power to influence comes from the experience and knowledge of civil contractors and how well we as the voice of industry engage, listen and act.
CCF SA will prioritise building our capacity as an informed advocate who is part of the civil construction industry.
We will also identify partnerships across allied industries to expand and enhance our influence.

OVER THE NEXT THREE YEARS, CCF SA WILL FOCUS ON FURTHERING OUR LEADERSHIP IN TRAINING AND BETTER MEETING THE NEEDS OF CIVIL CONTRACTORS.
We will invest in equipment, trainer development and develop use of future technologies including e-learning.
We will continue establishing direct links from schools to apprenticeships to industry, creating a steady supply of skilled and work ready employees.
Intensive effort will also be directed toward developing high-level skills and pathways into civil construction careers.

We will strengthen our business management policies, financial reporting and IT systems to ensure we achieve best practice in all areas of our operation.
We want our members to be confident that CCF SA is efficiently run and that membership fees are being well spent and in ways that directly benefit members and the industry.
