Greetings, friends!

Today, CCE Sullivan has 16 full-time and 4 part-time paid staff and hundreds of volunteers providing educational workshops and events in agricultural production; business retention and expansion; youth development and leadership; horticulture and gardening; worksite and school wellness; farmers’ market promotion; food entrepreneurship, preservation, and safety; community energy; adult caregiving; and more. A combination of county, state, federal, and foundation funding; local donations; and modest fees (with scholarships available for Sullivan County residents), support this diverse array of informal educational programming offered to help our neighbors and guests live a high quality of life.

A few times a year, an emerging issue or crisis in one of our program areas becomes apparent to the Extension office and our teams must quickly gather to consider if and how we might take action to assist the local community in navigating whatever challenges have arisen. Two years ago it was eggshell management. Last year it was solar farms. And this year, as most of you are surely aware, at the end of June, several dairies across the region face the possibility of losing the market for their milk. CCESC’s ag team has been working with the dairies and various partners in an effort to reimagine the future for these folks. For more information on what happened, why it will continue to happen without regulatory intervention, and how you can help, see the back cover of this month’s Extension Connection magazine.

With that in mind, we hope to see you out and about this summer, in support of local agriculture and food. You can find us at your local farmers’ markets, street fairs, the ENGN Field Office in Callicoon on Wednesdays, or right here at the Extension Education Center. We’re offering new cooking classes and the Master Food Preserver Training in the Catskills Kitchen. And now that we’ve had some sunshine and heat, we’re plugging away in the edible gardens out back hoping to offer specialty classes around tea, cooking with herbs, and rounding out the harvest.

And of course, there’s just over a month to go before the annual Sullivan County Youth Fair at the 139th Grahamsville Little World’s Fair at the Grahamsville Fairgrounds, the third weekend of August. More than 400 4-H youth exhibits make their way to the youth, livestock, and horse buildings. Your tax dollars pay for 100% of this youth development program, which serves about 250 Sullivan County kids per year. We hope you’ll come see what all the fuss is about! Besides supporting the kids, you’ll have an opportunity to bid on the best pies in the county at Sunday’s Annual Pie Auction!

STANDING OUT AT A FARMERS’ MARKET Submitted by Michelle Lipari, Agriculture Subject Educator Deciding What To Sell Deciding what to bring to market is a fundamental aspect of appealing to the customer. Research has shown vegetables are the most demanded products at a farmers’ market. Growers can provide the highest quality, freshest food with low transportation costs due to generally close proximity to a market. The key to specializing in vegetables is to grow a wide variety of crops, with strong associated demand, high volume per acre, and with staggered planting dates to lengthen the harvest season.

Fruits can be trickier in the market.

Small fruits are among the fastest selling items at the market due to short seasons and high demand.

Most types of berries provide good profitability per acre, often the highest value product on the farm. Fruits are more perishable and require higher labor costs in harvest and handling. Small fruit plants, although perennials, can be grown to maturity in one to two years, offering a quicker opportunity to recapture investments. That also offers the grower the opportunity to be responsive to changing consumer trends by replanting with newer varieties or adjusting acreage.

Adding value is one of the best ways to specialize with a product. Baked goods are normally a strong seller in the market. Consider using fruits you grow or that are grown by fellow vendors and advertise the source.

These goods have clear advantages over a grocery store due to the consumer’s perception of freshness and the connection they make with you the baker.

Pies and breads are often the most Page 4

popular value added baked goods at a market. Encourage people to try your product, especially a new recipe you’ve just used or a new product line. Package many of your baked goods individually so that people can eat them while at the market. The more time people spend at the market, including walking around eating, the more apt they will be to buy more from you and other vendors.

Displaying Your Products The most important aspect in selling a product in your booth is how it is displayed. Successfully moving high volumes of your product to the consumer starts with attractive displays. Effective displays adjust to the season, highlight your product(s), change often, and successfully build on your farm image. The price and product should be consistent. The image you convey should sell your products as being earthy, natural, wholesome, locally produced, and fresh. Materials and textures utilized should match customers’ expectations of why they visit the farmers’ market vs. the supermarket. Weathered wood, slate, burlap, and similar materials work very well at little cost to you.

Baskets are a great way to display various products; a “spilling out effect” always creates a great illusion for the customer. Adding height to your display is another way to attract attention. Have shelves that tier the item being displayed, keeping in mind the most profitable selling zone is between the knees and shoulders.

Other display tips include: • mixing the colors in the stand to create eye appeal and contrast, • putting complimentary goods near each other

• avoiding confusion by not putting items with similar looks near each other, and • placing items on display within easy reach.

Display is critical to profitable sales, so spend time to make sure your stand will be the first noticed at the market.

Presenting Yourself How you portray yourself to your customer can make the difference between a sale and no sale. Eye contact is key. Focus your full attention on the customer; not other things like reading the paper, talking on a cell phone, or looking generally disinterested. Try to hold conversations with customers, such as telling them how you grow your products.

Using Signs Effectively Signs are essential to promote the name and image of the farm as well as to provide information and create customer interest. Normally there are two different types of signs that are useful at a farm stand. The first is the large sign which establishes overall awareness and identity. This sign makes the name of your farm easily visible, so that the customer can locate you quickly and easily.

Small signs are valuable for labeling individual products. These signs can explain what the product is, how the product is prepared, and weight/ pricing information.

Conclusion Farmers’ markets may be a great way to direct market your products.

As evidenced by the number of markets in operation as well as the number of people who shop at them, their popularity is growing among consumers. However, selling at a

farmers’ market may be different from other direct marketing avenues you may choose to pursue. The techniques discussed in this publication can be implemented to enhance your success at the market.

PRACTICAL ADVICE FOR THE FOREST LANDOWNER Submitted by Dayna Gaeta, Community Hort. Coordinator Written by Peter J. Smallidge, Cornell University Once you have started thinking about your objectives, the next step would be putting together a list of people that may be able to offer you help.

Assistance for forest owners can really be divided into two groups, the technical and non- technical. First, the non- technical assistance is provided through volunteers such as Master Forest Owners (MFOs). An MFO is a forest owner who has been trained by Cornell Cooperative Extension. They have an interest and a commitment to help other forest owners to develop their plans. These individuals have a wealth of experience from their own property and those of other forest owners they have met and often can help by sharing ideas or examples.

Other non-technical assistance is available through the New York Forest Owners Association (NYFOA). This is a statewide organization of forest owners who are interested in issues related to owning forest land in New York State. There are various local chapters in the region and joining is a great way to network with other individuals who own forests.

Technical assistance is available throughout New York State. For more general information of forest and woodlot management, contact your local Cornell Cooperative Extension office. Each of the County offices have publications and bulletins with information on a variety of subjects such as tree identification, wildlife habitat improvement, recreational trails, and forest management planning to name a few. If you are interested in aerial photographs, topographic maps or soil surveys,

are several free options. Start with a Master Forest Owner volunteer, and then a visit from a DEC professional forester.

this information is available from the County Soil and Water District offices (SWCD). For professional forestry advice, you should contact your local New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) office. The DEC has professional foresters who will visit with you on your property for free to discuss your forest stewardship options. The DEC forester will have information on cost-share programs and information regarding the New York Forest Tax Law.

• The first step in planning for forest management is to know what you and your spouse and/or partner(s) want from your property. Your objectives are the basis for all future activities on your property. No one can tell you what you should do until they know what you want to accomplish.

To encourage stewardship of private forest lands, the Watershed Forestry Program offers cost- sharing to landowners with parcels of ten acres and above located within the watershed boundaries who currently have no written plan. Finally, if you decide to contact a private forester, the DEC foresters have a list of cooperating consulting foresters which is broken down by county.

• Trying to think about all your objectives and whether they are compatible can seem like an overwhelming task. Free computer software called NED (for North East Decision model) is available through the U.S. Forest Service.

Remember, as the forester begins to develop your management plan, you make the final decision on what should happen on your property. The writ- ten management plan will offer many benefits, including a statement of your objectives, a description of your property, the condition of the forest, the potential benefits you can expect from your forest, streams and soils, unique and the types of wildlife habitat that exist on the property. The plan will also map out a schedule of activities consistent to your objectives.

Starting Pointers: • There are many reasons you might want to manage your forest or woodlot.

Deliberate planning will help ensure you reach your personal goals.

• There are numerous people, agencies, and publications available to help you begin the management process. There

• You can start to understand your objectives by asking yourself questions about your property. How did you obtain your property? Why do you own it? What do you like and dislike about various options?

• A good starting point is to begin knowing your property. Work with the DEC and or your county Soil and Water Conservation District to get aerial photographs, topographic maps, and soils maps of your region. Make sure your property lines are marked using paint blazes, markers, or posted signs.

• Become involved with people in organizations that share your same interests. A Master Forest Owner volunteer can help and is available through your local Cornell Cooperative Extension. Contact CCE staff forester Ron Frisbee, who coordinates the regional MFO program, at 581-622-9820 ext. 31. You can also contact the New York Forest Owners Association (1–800– 836–3566) or check out their website at LINK: www.nyfoa.org.

• Before you work with a forester or a logger, check their credentials and references. A profess- sional forester is someone having a degree from a professional forestry program at a college or university. Many loggers are demonstrating their professionalism by participating in the New York State “Trained Logger Certification” Program. Both foresters and loggers

have many opportunities for continuing education classes. Remember, there are good and bad foresters and loggers— just like any other profession.

• A written management plan offers many benefits. Your management plan should start with a clear statement, that you help develop with your forester, about your management objectives.

• Spend time in the woods, learning about your property. Read material about forest management and become active with other forest owners. This is

the fun part… make sure that you enjoy yourself.

STRESS AND HEALTH Submitted by SueAnn Boyd, Healthy Schools Coordinator Decades of research have shown that stress is a very regular phenomena that our brain and body goes through. Stress is a much-needed warning system that enables us to respond and be prepared. However, if it is not managed effectively, it can lead to an emotional “burn-out” feeling, and other health problems. .Our body responds to physical stress the same as emotional stress.

Physical activities, such as exercising etc. can stress our bodies. While we are active, our body is constantly under stress, working on maintaining normal body temperature, blood pressure, and heartrate. The same concept applies to certain acute (e.g. flu) or chronic (e.g. diabetes) illnesses. Stress and illness are unarguably linked. Excessive stress is one of the most common contributing factors leading to chronic diseases.

During an illness our body is constantly stressed while restoring itself.

Stress can be classified as “short term/acute stress,” Short-term/Acute Stress Short-term helps prepare our body and brain to perform certain immediate reactions such as instantly withdrawing our hands when touching a hot surface (physical stress) or nervous laughter in social settings (emotional stress). Some potential effects of short-term stresses are: anxiousness and nervousness, sweating, shortness of breath, high blood pressure and heartrate, hyperventilation, muscle tightening, panic attacks, and upset stomach.

Some positive stress effects

are: boosting immune response during surgery, vaccinations and minor infections; increasing productivity at work by raising drive, motivation and competitiveness.

Episodic Acute Stress results from reoccurring life situations such as difficulties for a child in school, recurring health issues, and repeated weight gain challenges. Many times we are not aware of these stresses due to how frequently they occur and become the “new” normal. Symptoms include but, aren’t limited to obsessiveness, anxiety, panic attacks and aggression.

Chronic illness or the death of a loved one can cause chronic stress or long term stress. The potential effects of long-term stress are: headaches and migraines, obesity and eating disorders, frequent hyperventilation, panic disorder, Inflammation of circulatory system , increased chance of heart disease hypertension (high blood pressure), sleep disturbances and insomnia depression, anxiety, trouble focusing, low self-esteem and self-confidence and social isolation.

Use relaxation techniques: Deep breathing, visualization, meditation, repetitive prayer, yoga, and tai-chi can relax the body and reduce stress. Engaging in art activities has also shown to reduce stress responses. Mindfulness is a mental state achieved by focusing on your awareness of the present moment. This awareness is created by calmly acknowledging and accepting your feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations in a gentle, kind and loving manner. Mindfulness is not just limited to meditation practice; it can be practiced during simple everyday activities such as driving, following a balanced diet, running and practice relaxation techniques such as listening to soothing music, meditation, and mindfulness based activities.

NEW YORK STATE HOME PROCESSOR REGISTRATION

Product labels are required to contain the following information: common/ usual name of the product, ingredient list in predominance by weight, net quantity of contents, and processor name and full address. All allergens (eggs, milk, fish, shellfish, soybeans, peanuts, tree nuts) must be clearly identified in the product ingredient statement.

• Repackaging dried fruit

Section 276.3 (3) of the New York State Agriculture and Markets regulations states that: “Home processed food within the context of this Part shall mean any food processed in a private home or residence using only the ordinary kitchen facilities of that home or residence which are also used to prepare food for the owner thereof, his family, nonpaying guests and household and farm employees who reside therein, but shall exclude potentially hazardous foods as defined in this Part or thermally processed low-acid foods packaged in hermetically sealed containers as covered by Part 277 of this Chapter and acidified foods packed in closed containers, including but not limited to pickles and relishes prepared from low-acid fruits, vegetables, poultry, meat, meat products, fish or seafood.

In order to protect public health and to minimize the potential of food product adulteration, this exemption is restricted to the following ‘approved’ non-potentially hazardous home processed foods.

• Breads (Breads containing fruits and/or vegetables are not allowed) • Rolls and/or Cinnamon Rolls • Biscuits • Muffins

• Seasoning salt • Fudge • Popcorn/Caramel corn • Peanut brittle • Rice Krispies Treats • Granola and trail mix (using commercially roasted nuts) • Granola Bars (using commercially roasted nuts) • Candy (excluding chocolate) –Melting of chocolate or chocolate-like candies is not allowed.

• Waffle cones and pizelles • Toffee/caramel apples – Candy Melts are not allowed

• Crackers

NOTE: If on a private water system (well) resident must have a water test analysis performed for Coliform, and include a copy of the test results with application, before a home processor can be registered.

• Biscotti (No chocolate or candy melts allowed for topping)

All items are for marketing products at wholesale and/or retail, including agricultural venues such as farms, farm stands, farmers markets, green markets, craft fairs and flea markets and community supported agriculture subscriptions in person, via home delivery or via the internet. All items must be sold within New York State and must be properly labeled.

The Mamakating Environmental Education & Interpretive Center hosted CCESC’s monthly staff meeting. Along with a tour of the facilities, the staff got to enjoy an afternoon hike for some worksite wellness. The center is open to all during daylight hours. Check it out!

The Caregiver Resource Center hosted an Understanding and Responding to Dementia Related Behaviors workshop at the Liberty Library, giving a weekend presence to Extension outreach.

The agriculture team partnered with Gorzynksi Ornery Farm in Narrowsburg to host the first in a Beginning Farmer Tailgate Talks series. The series of educational potlucks seeks to engage new and beginning farmers with experienced peers who can mentor their start-ups. See a spotlight on Gorsynski Farm on page 20.

The conference focused on local-campus connections, branding and marketing, and leveraging board members for fund development.

CROCHET & KNITTING GROUP June 15 A cohort of over a dozen youth and adults gather the 3rd Friday evening of every month for the Intergenerational Textile Group. The program is free and all are welcome to participate in warm craft making to donate to friends and neighbors in need during the winter months.

June 19 The Frost Valley YMCA generously hosted nearly 60 informal family caregivers, their care receivers, 4-H youth members, and partners like event sponsor Alzheimer’s Association of the Hudson Valley. For the first time, the free retreat was at max capacity!

Healthy Schools Coordinator SueAnn Boyd, AKA BocaGirl, hosted her first Wellness Circle, a program in partnership with Sullivan 180. FRIENDS OF WALNUT MOUNTAIN Written by Glenn Horton,Friends of Walnut Mountain Leader A few years back, a small group of “like-minded” folks were meeting weekly for a walk among some of the trails at Liberty’s Walnut Mountain Town Park. With over 16 miles of Hike/Bike trails and another 8 miles of “carriage road” trails, it was a logical meeting place for some outdoor socialization and exercise.

Over time, parking lot conversations grew into ideas and soon a loose knit organization was born calling themselves “Friends of Walnut” (F.O.W.).

Committed to giving back to the park, the group approached the Town of Liberty to partner with them in developing a short interpretive nature trail that offered multi-disciplinary points of interest along the way.

Topping that was to have the design A.D.A. compliant, making the use of the park more accessible to a wider population. Through a $7000 grant from the Sullivan County Plans and Progress Small Grants Program, construction of the trail began in August of 2017.

Since that day, over 350 volunteer work hours have been applied to this effort. Sullivan County Cooperative Extension has joined the partnership and additional signs have been acquired to add to the original design of the project. And despite Mother Nature’s constant reminder of who is in charge, work continues to complete the project before October of 2018.

Construction of a 120’ boardwalk is presently underway. Another 40’ boardwalk was completed late in November of 2017 and highlights the efforts of 25 volunteers from ages 8 to 70. The first interpretive sign was installed earlier this spring with 3 Page 18

more slated as the trail loops around the .2 mile stretch of woods and old farm fields. Small plaques with quotes from famous authors and naturalists such as John Burroughs are also part of the project introducing literature to nature.

Like many other things in nature, this particular trail project has slowly morphed into something bigger than just a trail. It has brought a community of people together that enjoy giving back, and that community continues to grow. It is opening the doors of accessibility to nature that might otherwise be unobtainable. New experiences occur like the changing weather. And so the trail has become more than just a construction project. It is a living entity with interesting twists and turns offering new experiences, and also challenges.

Some of those challenges are as simple as coming up with a name for the trail. More complicated ones include

financing to complete the project and working through logistical roadblocks on the site itself. Finding new volunteers has its place in there as well and the door is always open to all interested persons or groups, no skill required. From the start, this project has not only been about the result, but also the experience getting there.

Volunteer Spotlight TAI CHI FOR ARTHRITIS

Farm Spotlight WILD RUSSET FARM Owned and operated by John Gorzynski and his son Tim, the Gorzynski Ornery Farm was established in the early 1980’s.

The farm, located in Narrowsburg, NY produces about 20 acres vegetables, fruit trees, blueberries, and eggs.

This diversified farm sells at a NYC Greenmarket, local stores, and produces Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) shares for everyone to enjoy their harvest.

CCE welcomed three new volunteers on May 30: Dyan Campbell, Susan Hamlin, and Katie Franco. These ladies will assist Bonnie Lewis, RN CCE dependent care educator to provide the Tai Chi for Arthritis (for Fall Prevention) classes throughout our county.

Dyan, Susan, and Katie joined Bonnie in early May for two full days of training in Cooperstown, which was sponsored by the NYS Department of Health. All four are now certified

by Dr. Paul Lam’s Tai Chi for Health Institute as Tai Chi for Arthritis for Fall Prevention leaders. This program is an evidenced-based curriculum recommended by the Centers for Disease and Control and Prevention (CDC) and offered nationwide to assist individuals improve their strength, balance, and posture which helps to prevent falls.

All of the Tai Chi classes provide gentle warm-up exercises before practicing smooth, continuous and graceful movements. Exercises can be adapted to meet the participant’s needs or performed in a chair as needed. Classes will be offered in several locations beginning midsummer. Stay tuned!

Staff Spotlight JESSICA GLASSEL Jessica started as Cornell Cooperative Extension Sullivan County’s finance assistant in May 2018, a new position at CCE working with Tara VanHorn, CCE finance manager.

The Finance Assistant position is responsible for purchasing, accounts receivable, data entry, generating reports, and other financial support duties.

A graduate of Sullivan West High School and originally from Elmira, Jessica worked previously at the United States Post Office in Jeffersonville. Jessica’s family is native to Callicoon, NY where her husband’s family owns and operates Glassel Dairy Farm.

We are excited to welcome Jessica to our team!

School Spotlight DARA SMITH Dara is employed by Sullivan BOCES as a school lunch manager for Liberty and Fallsburg school districts. She manages a staff of 30 and oversees the daily operations of five kitchens that provide breakfast and lunch to approximately 2500 students each day. Dara actively sits on the Wellness Committee of each district, participating in the creation and modification of policy, and providing guidance on nutrition and healthy eating. Dara works closely with outside organizations on healthy school initiatives.

Liberty Central School District and her food service teams were just awarded a Gold Standard Level for implementing Cornell University’s Smarter Lunchroom Techniques!

4-H Spotlight ULSTER COUNTY 4-H ATTENDS SULLIVAN MULTI-SPECIES SHOWMANSHIP

As a Liberty resident for most of her life, Dara attended Liberty Central School and SUNY Sullivan.

Dara credits her parents as her role models for volunteerism.

Over the course of her life she has had the opportunity to serve her community in a variety of capacities. She spent several years on revitalization and beautification efforts through Liberty ALIVE and Sullivan Renaissance during which time they won the Golden Feather Award. She has also served on several committees including Public Spaces and the Village of Liberty Sign Review Board.

On a more personal note, Dara loves old “junk”, flea markets, and yard sales and will re-purpose and reuse just about any item. She is passionate about music of all genres and has a huge collection of vinyl records that she plays regularly. Dara loves her three dogs, and is an avid gardener. Her favorite place to be is outside in her back yard farm.

On Sunday June 3, two members from CCE Ulster County 4-H group Swedish Zhetlands attended the Multi-Species Showmanship Clinic at Stonewall Farms in Sullivan County.

There were alpacas, beef cows, dairy cows, goats, horses, poultry, rabbits, and sheep.

Pictured to the lower left is Barbara Moran, 4-H Animal Science Coordinator and farm owner. They worked with horses, sheep, goats, and chickens. It was very hands-on and Barbara encouraged everyone to work with an animal they had never worked with before.

Youth practiced their showmanship skills and learned new things.

The Ulster County youth had the opportunity to meet many 4-H members from Sullivan County.

According to them, it was worth the trip!

THE BENEFIT OF YOUTH FAIR Submitted by Kaitlyn Conklin, 4-H Program Educator As we welcome the month of July, many are enjoying the sun and all the activities the summer months have to offer. For 4-H staff, our focus and attention is usually on one thing, the Sullivan County Youth Fair! That’s right, we are already in full fair mode!

For those who are not familiar with the fair, 4-H hosts the Sullivan County Youth Fair every year in conjunction with the Grahamsville Little World’s Fair. The Youth Fair is open to any and all youth in the county (not just 4-H members) and runs from Friday, August 17 to Sunday, August 19. This three day event takes months of staff and volunteer time to coordinate 12 animal departments and 10 Still Exhibit departments, all of which encompass some 900 classes or categories. Last year youth participants entered just under 800 projects into the fair!

What is the benefit? Researchers and youth development staff from Oregon and Portland State Universities set up a study to answer this very question. By working with 199 4-H youth participants, researchers collected extensive data from the youth participants. Youth were asked to rate why they attended the fair.

The researchers anticipated the top few choices would include awards or premium money. The following are the results from the research in the order in which participants ranked from the highest motivating factor to the least: “Having fun (4.72), Achieving goals (4.36), Spending time with friends (4.23), Teamwork (4.14), Challenging self to try new things (4.11), Building self-confidence (3.96), Showing training of animals to public (3.87), Demonstrating skills to public (3.66), Working with younger youth Page 26

(3.64), Receiving recognition (3.52), Competition (3.36), Selling market animals (3.27), Increasing chances of winning a county award (3.05), Fair premiums (2.98), Qualifying for State Fair (2.97), Making a presentation (2.81).”

As the results show, the areas in which youth rated a 4 or above are around peer- interaction and selfimprovement. The results show that youth do not start ranking areas to do with awards until the low 3s.

The researchers comment about the results they found: “According to the results, “having fun,” “achieving goals,” “spending time with friends,” and “teamwork,” were the highest rated motivators for fair participation. This fits our own observations that the camaraderie shared among participants, the interaction with others, and having opportunities to meet members’ goals are all contributing factors to why youth participate in youth fairs.

Finally, analysis revealed that participation in a fair had a significant positive effect on participants’ levels of caring, contribution, and character. These results support the conclusion that participation in a fair contributes to developmental outcomes in youth.

An essential ingredient to having strong participation in youth fairs has been, and will always be, “having fun!” Research shows people learn more when they are having fun, and youth fairs are no exception.

It is clear that the hundreds of volunteer and staff member hours that go into the Sullivan County Youth Fair is time well spent, and provides all Sullivan County youth with the opportunity to be part of a positive youth development experience.

Development goals: “In 4-H youth development programs, life skill and developmental outcomes are accomplished through non-formal educational opportunities (Russell, 2001) that take place in settings that provide opportunities for belonging, mastery, generosity, and belonging (Kress, 2004). Although unique in structure, the fair fulfills these programmatic requirements and provides an important venue for youth development.”

Show the youth of Sullivan County the hard work they’ve done throughout the year, on display at the fair, does not go unnoticed by the Sullivan County community. There are many different ways community members can show their support. Volunteer to be an evaluator for Still Exhibits. Give the 4-H staff a call to see if there is an area that fits your expertise. Can’t commit to a few hours of evaluating?

No problem! Just attending the fair and speaking with youth about their projects is encouragement enough!
