導演的話 Message from the Director 舞台這個神奇的地方，一瞬間可以是現在，轉眼間又可能變成過去，事情明明發生在此地，剎那間又變成那方。一盞 簡單的燈、幾個道具靈活地運用、加上演員肢體表達出各種能量色彩，隨意變幻的魔法世界就在這裏。 在這裏，我們都是魔法師，只要你用心去感受，用感觀去聆聽，你會發現由你掌控的想像力有無比的力量，煉成一句 句由心出發的咒語。希望每位大小魔法師，享受在劇場的每個當下，無論外在的挑戰及困難處處，在這裏我們相遇、 對話、交流、連結，獲得彼此的力量，聚合成七色的彩虹。 最後，感謝台前幕後每一個人，謝謝你們真誠的投入和共同創作，我相信因著大家對藝術的信念，這個魔法世界才得 以誕生，然後由在座各位一起延續下去。

In a blink of an eye, the stage can transform from ancient sites into modern landscape. An event is taking place here, and in the next moment, it is there. With simple lighting, props, and the actors use their bodies to express energies and emotions, the stage becomes a magical space!

Here, we are all magicians. Feel with your heart and listen with your senses, you will find that your imagination becomes incomparably powerful. You can weave spells from within. I hope that all you senior and junior magicians will enjoy your every moment in the theatre. No matter what challenges or obstacles are you facing. Here, we meet, we have conversations, and we connect. The collective power brings us into a rainbow of seven colours.

Last but not least, my heartfelt thanks to the team who are on and behind the stage. Thank you for your input, support and creativity. I believe this magical world is born from our belief in art. And it continues because of all of you here today.

梁曉端 Melissa LEUNG CCDC 副藝術總監（教育），畢業於香港中文大學體 育運動科學系，先後獲教育學士學位，及教育（體育 運動）研究文憑。其後於新加坡修讀三年專業表演藝 術課程「劇場研究與訓練課程」（TTRP），後名為「跨 文化戲劇學院」（Intercultural Theatre Institute）， 接受四種古典亞洲表演藝術訓練、以及斯坦尼斯拉夫 斯基和後斯坦尼的演員訓練。 梁氏曾於韓國統營市聯合國大學高等研究所推行的「區 域永續教育中心」（RCE），負責策劃多個亞太地區 教育工作者為對象的項目，以及在新加坡實踐劇場出 任教育及拓展總監。 Melissa Leung, CCDC Assistant Artistic Director (Education). She graduated from the Department of Sports Science and Physical Education of the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Education and Postgraduate Diploma in Education. She received her theatre training from "The Theatre Training and Research Programme" in four classical Asian theatre forms as well as Stanislavski and post-Stanislavki acting techniques.

Leung joined RCE Tongyeong, Korea, an international network acknowledged by the UNU, planning Asia-Pacific education programmes, and building international networks between talents and educators in all disciplines. She was previously the Director of Education and Outreach of The Theatre Practice in Singapore.

編舞 Choreographer

林詠茵 Peggy LAM 林詠茵生於香港，畢業於香港演藝學院舞蹈學院現代舞 系，曾參與城市當代舞蹈團獎學金計劃班、CCDC 青年 舞團「年青的天空」及「舞蹈青年」，亦曾參與多個專 業舞團的演出。林氏就讀演藝學院期間，曾獲頒多個獎 學金，並多次代表學院赴海外演出。2007 年畢業後加 入 CCDC 成為全職舞者。聯合編舞作品包括《開張》及 《過去、現在、將來》、合家歡當代舞劇場《西遊記》 及《小龍三次方》；2014 年於《動靜》發表個人編舞 作品〈木．目〉。 Born in Hong Kong, Peggy Lam was a member of CCDC's Scholarship Class and a dancer of C C D C ' s y o u t h d a n c e e n s e m b l e s Yo u n g S k y a n d Wu D a o Q i n g N i a n ( W D Q N ) . S h e s t u d i e d contemporary dance at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, receiving several scholarships and participating in the Academy's overseas tours.

She joined CCDC in 2007 as a full-time dancer.

Her choreographies include Picture Triangle for In-between in 2014; Grand Opening and Past, Present, Future, co-choreographed with WDQN alumni and the contemporary dance theatre for families, Journey to the West and The Odyssey of Little Dragon co-choreographed with Willy Tsao and Dominic Wong respectively.

特邀創作演員的話 Message from the Guest Creative Performer 相隔多年，再次以演員身份回到劇場，感覺就如演出中的魔法師角色一樣，經歷了一段神奇又夢幻的旅程。 在此非常感謝導演 Melissa 邀請我參與今次的演出，也感謝編舞 Peggy 的指導，打開了我對身體表演的感知， 與一眾優秀舞蹈家同台表演更讓我興奮。自問跳舞是我「水皮」的項目，所以今次首度與 CCDC 合作演出，感到 榮幸又刺激。我認為自己是幸運的，一直有機會探索各種類別演出及表演形式，每參與一個新演出，我都樂於當 一名實習生，打開觸覺學習新事物，放膽面對挑戰，快樂地尋找創作的可能性，期待在過程中會遇上的種種驚喜。 生命本身就充滿著魔法般的神奇，在成長中經歷挫敗和喜悅、打開了智慧、累積了勇氣、感受著愛……一切一切 都造就獨一無二的你。親愛的大、小朋友，就讓我們一起當上生命的魔法師，創造美麗的生命咒語吧！

After many years away from the theatre, I have come back to act. I felt just like the magician in this performance; I went on a magical and dream-like journey.

I am very grateful to Director Melissa for inviting me to join this performance and also to Peggy, the choreographer, for her guidance. She opened my eyes to physical performance and I was very excited to work with all the outstanding dancers on the same stage. For me, dancing is my weakness, so I felt both honoured and excited to perform with CCDC for the first time. I have been very lucky to have so many opportunities to explore different forms of performance. Every time I take part in a new production, I'm happy to be an apprentice, to open up my senses, learn new things, and face challenges with courage.

I'm always searching for creative possibilities and looking forward to surprises in the process. Life itself is full of magical miracles. We experience both frustration and joy while we grow, become wiser, braver and experience love... Everything makes you unique. To my friends, young and old: let's all be magicians and create beautiful life spells together!

泰臣 Tyson CHAK

泰臣於香港演藝學院接受演員訓練，以優異成績畢業。 2006 至 2013 年於 PIP 文化產業為全職劇團主創演員， 集編、導、演、教學於一身，其後進入影視界別發展， 成為別具一格影視演員。 演出過的人氣舞台劇包括《潮性辦公室》系列、《仲夏 夜之夢》、《野豬》及《麻甩俠》，曾憑《蛇鼠一窩》 獲香港戲劇協會提名最佳男配角。2019 年獲邀請參與 澳門美高梅劇院上演的阿根廷劇目《極限震撼》，邁向 國際舞台。 Graduated with Distinction in acting from The Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts, Chak has developed a diversified portfolio spanning playwriting, directing, acting, and drama teaching. Recently, Chak has been working in TV and film productions.

He has written a number of renowned plays including the MircoSex Office series.

He had also performed solo in Ma-Luck Man, and acted in The Wild Boar and A Midsummer Night's Dream.

In 2007, Chak was nominated for Best Supporting Actor (Comedy) for his performance in Of Wills & Willpower at Hong Kong Drama Awards. Chak started to explore international stage in 2019, when he was invited by MGM COTAI as a solo guest performer for an Argentinian production of Fuerza Bruta Wayra staged at MGM Theatre in Macau.

佈景及燈光設計 Set and Lighting Designer

羅文偉 Lawmanray

畢業於香港演藝學院，主修燈光設計。羅氏曾為不同劇場演出擔任燈光設計 師，合作機構包括：香港話劇團、前進進戲劇工作坊、風車草劇團、多空間、 香港演藝學院等。2017 年加入城市當代舞蹈團任駐團燈光設計師，作品有 《恐 · 集》、《小王子》、《香 · 夭》、《冬之旅 · 春之祭》及《Re-Mark》等。

2009 年成立 INSPIRE WORKSHOP，創作糅合新媒體及表演之劇場作品， 包括《姐姐》、《觸怒你──劇場裡的不可能》等，並憑編導作品《愛比資 本更冷 Deconstructed》獲提名第八屆香港小劇場獎最佳導演。現正於香港 演藝學院攻讀碩士學位。 Lawmanray (Raymond Law) graduated from the HKAPA in Lighting Design. He has worked as a freelance lighting designer for different theatre companies, including Hong Kong Repertory Theatre, On & On Theatre Workshop, Windmill Grass Theatre, Y-Space, the HKAPA and others. He joined CCDC as Resident Lighting Designer in 2017, and designed lighting for Why Not Kill Us All…, The Little Prince, Requiem HK, Winterreise · The Rite of Spring and Re-Mark, etc.

He formed INSPIRE WORKSHOP in 2009, a theatre company aiming to create multimedia stage works with excellent performance. His recent works include The HELP, Offending the Audience – The Impossibility of Theatre, etc. He was nominated for Best Director in 8th Hong Kong Theatre Libre 2015-2016 for Love is Colder than Capital Deconstructed.

He is doing his master degree on Theatre Directing in the HKAPA.

李慧娥 Linda LEE

城市當代舞蹈團服裝經理，曾為舞團的《中國風 · 中國火》、《失驚無神 夢驚魂》、《沒有主義》、《紫 · 釵 · 緣》、《六度》及《男語》任服裝 設計及《女書》之服裝統籌。 Linda Lee, CCDC Wardrobe Manager. She was the Costume Designer in China Wind · China Fire, All of A Sudden, Out of The Box, Love, Accidentally, Six Degrees and Talk To Him and the Costume Co-ordinator in HerStory for CCDC.

成博民 Oliver SHING 畢業於香港中文大學新聞與傳播學院，眾聲喧嘩創團成員，現為多媒體設計 師及影像導演；香港演藝學院客席講師。曾合作藝團包括：CCDC、香港芭 蕾舞團、香港舞蹈團、香港話劇團、香港藝術節、前進進戲劇工作坊、無極 樂團、浪人劇場等。 近年成立多媒體工作室「春秋大夢」，連結跨界創作，探索立體投影及互 動媒體技術，參與之演唱會及主題公園影像設計包括：容祖兒 · My Secret · Live 及郭富城舞林密碼演唱會。 Multimedia designer and video director Oliver Shing graduated from the School of Journalism and Communication of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is a guest lecturer at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and a founding member of Heteroglossia Theatre. He has designed for numerous performing arts organisations, including CCDC, Hong Kong Ballet, Hong Kong Dance Company, Hong Kong Repertory Theatre, Hong Kong Arts Festival, On & On Theatre Workshop, Wuji Ensemble and Theatre Ronin.

He founded his own creative studio Daaimung in recent years to make multidisciplinary works, exploring stereoscopic projection and interactive media technology and participating in moving image design for concerts and theme parks, such as Joey · My Secret · Live and Aaron Kwok de Aa Kode.

City Contemporary Dance Company has inspired and elated audiences in Hong Kong and around the world with superb modern dance performances for 41 years. Founded in 1979 by Willy Tsao, CCDC has presented more than 200 original works to critical acclaim, including productions by Tsao and leading choreographers such as Helen Lai, Mui Cheuk-yin, Pun Siu-fai and Yuri Ng. CCDC has also staged innovative collaborations with outstanding artists from other media and with artists from around the world.

CCDC is renowned for reflecting the vigour and creativity of Hong Kong’s vibrant, multifaceted contemporary culture, presenting works to an audience of more than 50,000 people annually. The Company has accepted 273 overseas invitations to represent Hong Kong in performance at the world’s foremost dance stages and festivals in over 30 major cities: including New York, Los Angeles, Washington DC, Montreal, London, Paris, Lyon, Rome, Florence, Rovereto, Oslo, Berlin, Munich, Stuttgart, Copenhagen, Prague, Sydney, Brisbane, Darwin, Tokyo, Niigata, Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Singapore, Manila, Kuala Lumpur, Beijing, Shanghai, Urumqi, Xining, Taipei, Mumbai, Delhi, Karmiel, Tel Aviv, St Petersburg and Moscow.
