We miss him for the joy he gave us. Of course, we also miss his heroic spirit.

A trip through Bruce's movies allows us to experience his unflagging resolve and this hero of the screen who broke through barriers of time and space... Little Dragon, he knew the true Way of the Dragon.

〈三歲定八十〉 〈美國大學生〉 〈精武門〉 The Child is Father of the Man US College Student Fist of Fury ♫《若水》Be Water ♫《自由神像》Statue of Liberty ♫《查查舞》Cha-Cha ♫《鬥獸場 （精武門）》Colosseum (Fist of Fury) 人道三歲定八十。當小龍遇上小 Bruce 的時候， 他們彷彿在鼓勵着對方，並且造就了擁有頑強鬥 志真英雄的誕生。年少的他以香港人的身份回到 了 Bruce 的出生地──美國，去當一名大學生。 年輕好動的他最擅長跳查查舞，當然也會發些電 影白日夢，幻想成為以一擋百的大豪俠陳真， 力保──精武門。 It is said the child is father of the man. When Little Dragon meets the young Bruce, they seem to encourage each other and thus is born a hero with a tenacious fighting spirit.

As a young Hong Kong man, he returns to his birthplace - the United States - and enrols in college. Full of youthful energy, he excels at dancing the Cha-Cha. Of course, he is also daydreaming of becoming Chen Zhen, the fantasy hero, who strives to protect the Jingwu School.

〈餐館打工〉 〈邂逅〉 Waiter in a Restaurant Love at the First Sight ♫《俄羅斯冰塊》Drifting Ice ♫《雪中舞》Snow Dance 幻想世界跟現實相似的地方是，一樣是留學生， 一樣在美國半工半讀。在餐館打工的 Bruce， 立心將功夫傳到美國。歷經艱辛後，他終於夢 想 成 真 了。 武 館 成 立 後， 更 邂 逅 了 他 的 至 愛 Linda。 The fantasy world overlaps with reality.

In both, he is an overseas student in the US, with a part-time job. Working in a restaurant, Bruce is full of determination to spread Kungfu to Americans. He struggles hard and finally his dream becomes real.

After he establishes a martial arts studio he meets his great love, Linda.

〈龍爭虎鬥〉 A Fight between a Dragon and a Tiger

♫《龍爭虎鬥》Dragon VS Tiger 正如漫天紛飛的雪花一樣，Linda 被這世上獨一無二 的 Bruce 所深深地吸引着。但他們的相愛卻遭到仿如 毒辣陽光般的對抗── Linda 的母親。Linda 與小龍 的反抗尤如龍爭虎鬥般的激烈。 Like a sky full of falling snowflakes, Linda is deeply attracted to the singular Bruce. But their love story encounters an obstruction in the form of Linda's mother. Linda and Little Dragon put up a fight as fierce as that between a Dragon and a Tiger.

〈樹大招風〉 〈靑蜂俠〉 Fame Comes at a Price The Green Hornet ♫《開門》Open Door ♫《撞樂》Collision 鬥爭還不止於此……常言道樹大招風，Bruce 在教授 功夫期間，受到當地武術界的不斷挑戰及阻撓，但他 都——勇敢面對，終於有嶄露頭角的機會。機緣巧合下 他參與了美國電視劇 《青蜂俠》的演出，鋒芒畢露！ But the battle does not end here… As the saying goes: fame comes at a price. As Bruce teaches martial arts, he is constantly facing challenges from within the community. He meets each one with courage and eventually is rewarded with the chance to show his brilliance. He stumbles across an opportunity to star in The Green Hornet, an American TV drama. And he is a hit!

〈飛得愈高跌得愈痛〉 The Higher the Climb, the Harder the Fall ♫《窗》Window 正因為這機會，Bruce 將滿腦子的電影故事及出神入 化的功夫帶到荷里活，但一一被電影公司巨頭徹底摧 毁！他們的原因只有一個──美國的觀眾接受不了當 英雄的是一名中國人。他飛得愈高跌得愈痛。晴天霹 靂心灰意冷。 Bruce believes that this means he has a chance to bring his movie ideas and stunning Kung Fu artistry to Hollywood. But he is met with rejection at every turn! They all have the same answer for him - no American would accept a Chinese hero. The higher he climbs, the harder his fall. He is devastated and disheartened.

Message from the Choreographer 很榮幸再次參與「國際綜藝合家歡 2019」，亦藉此多謝參與今次演出的製作團隊以及台前幕後所有人，他們付出的 努力讓這個作品發光發熱。 《小龍三次方》講述李小龍充滿傳奇的過去；眾所周知，李小龍先生是銀幕上的國際巨星，亦是我們亞洲人的英雄。 李小龍先生是第一位踏足荷里活的香港演員，將醉心的武學融會貫通，創立了截拳道。回流香港後，他的功夫電影帶 來一片狂熱衝出國際。他對自己嚴格及不斷向前的追求，贏到大家的尊重。 希望進場觀看《小龍三次方》的大人及小朋友能感受到李小龍的精神長存。 It is a great honour to participate in International Arts Carnival 2019. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who is part of this production from the design team to dancers and colleagues toiling behind the scenes. The Odyssey of Little Dragon is about the legend of Bruce Lee. As is well known, Mr Bruce Lee is an international superstar of the silver screen. Here in Asia, he is our hero. He was the first Hong Kong actor to star in a Hollywood film. Bruce was a dedicated martial artist; he studied it deeply and became a master, creating his own martial arts discipline, Jeet Kune Do. After he returned home to Hong Kong, his Kungfu films were massive hits here and around the world. His self-discipline and pursuit of perfection earned him widespread respect.

I hope everyone who comes to watch The Odyssey of Little Dragon, both young and old, will feel that Bruce's spirit lives on!

黃狄文 Dominic WONG 編舞 Choreography

1996 年畢業後加入 CCDC 成為舞者，2016 年擢升為副藝術總監。2001 年及 2013 年分別憑《Plaza X 與異變街道》及《畸人說夢》的演出獲頒香港舞蹈 年獎「最值得表揚男舞蹈員」。2008 年及 2009 年分別憑《忽然四季》及《下 一秒》獲《南華早報》評選為「全年最佳舞蹈」；2017 年憑《拼途》獲頒香 港舞蹈年獎「傑出中型場地舞蹈製作」獎。黃氏編舞近作包括《別有洞天》、 《思纏想後》、《拼途》、《小王子》及《易季》之〈尋常〉，其作品多次獲 邀於「北京舞蹈雙週」及「廣東現代舞週」上演。其風格大受好評，在創作上 亦勇於嘗試，舞作風格新穎多變。 Dominic Wong joined CCDC in 1996 and was promoted to Assistant Artistic Director in 2016. He received Outstanding Performance by a Male Dancer twice at Hong Kong Dance Awards for his performance in Plaza X (2000) and The Comedy of K (2012). His choreographies include Blind Chance, Second Thoughts, Travelogue (previous title: Little Pieces), The Little Prince, and Day After Day in Season(s). His works have been presented at Beijing Dance Festival and Guangdong Dance Festival. Xtremely Four Seasons and What's Next were both named one of the "Best Dances" of the Year by South China Morning Post, while Travelogue (2017) won Outstanding Medium Venue Production at Hong Kong Dance Awards. His works, which feature a wide range of styles, are acclaimed for being innovative and physically demanding.

黃振邦生於香港，2000 年畢業於香港演藝學院現代舞系並加入城市當 代舞蹈團至 2009 年，離團後獲賽馬會獎學金到美國霍林斯大學修讀碩 士課程，並於 2010 年入選「勞力士創藝推薦資助計劃」年青舞蹈家的 入圍名單。 其後於 2012 年重返 CCDC，近期作品有的《城市封神》（與曹誠淵及 黃狄文合編）、《脫衣秀 2012》之〈溫柔無用〉、《逆 · 轉》之〈舌 尖上的靈魂〉、《發現號》之〈...... 是如何鍊成的？〉及《恐 · 集》。 2018 年憑《恐 · 集》獲頒香港舞蹈年獎「傑出中型場地舞蹈製作」獎。 黃氏亦熱愛武術，並於 2006 年獲第二屆全港公開中國傳統武術比賽男 子內家拳組冠軍，及男子成人組八卦掌冠軍。

黃振邦 Bruce WONG 聯合編舞 Co-choreography

Born in Hong Kong, Bruce Wong joined CCDC in 2000 after studying modern dance at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. He left the Company in 2009 to study for a master's degree at Hollins University in the US on a Jockey Club Scholarship, returning to CCDC in 2012. He was a finalist for the Rolex Mentor and Protégé Arts Initiative.

His recent choreography includes The Legend and The Hero (with Willy Tsao and Dominic Wong), Dress Me Down in Strip Teaser 2012, Re/dis-connect in It's My Turn, How to Become… in Eureka and Why Not Kill Us All… (named Outstanding Medium Venue Production at the 20th Hong Kong Dance Awards).

Wong is passionate about martial arts and was a section winner at the 2006 Hong Kong Open Wushu Championships.

林詠茵生於香港，畢業於香港演藝學院舞蹈學院現代舞系，曾參與城 市當代舞蹈團獎學金計劃班、CCDC 青年舞團「年青的天空」及「舞 蹈青年」，亦曾參與多個專業舞團的演出。林氏就讀演藝學院期間， 曾獲頒多個獎學金，並多次代表學院赴海外演出。2007 年畢業後加入 CCDC 成為全職舞者。聯合編舞作品包括《開張》及《過去、現在、 將來》；2014 年於《動靜》發表個人編舞作品〈木．目〉。2016 年與 藝術總監曹誠淵及舞者樂知靄合編合家歡當代舞蹈劇場《西遊記》。

林詠茵 Peggy LAM

聯合編舞 Co-choreography

Born in Hong Kong, Peggy Lam was a member of CCDC's Scholarship Class and a dancer of CCDC's youth dance ensembles Young Sky and WuDaoQingNian (WDQN). She studied contemporary dance at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, receiving several scholarships and participating in the Academy's overseas tours. She joined CCDC in 2007 as a full-time dancer. Her choreographies include Picture Triangle for In-between in 2014; Grand Opening and Past, Present, Future, co-choreographed with WDQN alumni and the contemporary dance theatre for families, Journey to the West, co-choreographed with Willy Tsao and Shirley Lok in 2016.

從事傳媒工作的李強，在紐約理工大學取得電影和電視製作碩士後，曾 在洛杉磯參予過數部獨立電影製作，並在加州洛杉磯大學修讀表演藝術。 現於美國哥倫比亞廣播電視台《六十分鐘時事雜誌》作後期編輯；亦偶 為另一長壽節目《星期日早晨》作監製。多年來在其專業上獲獎甚豐， 曾獲頒四次「艾美獎」，包括於 2017 年憑卓越剪接技術獲獎。 李氏曾為紐約四海劇社編導劇作包括《色 · 相》、《從心出發》、《等待》 及《長夜無荒》。他為紐約華策會「愛滋病關懷活動」所編寫的兩個短 劇被拍成教育片。在中國公演的大型音樂劇《上海灘》亦由李氏擔任劇 本顧問。除此之外，他亦導演及監製了兩部記錄電影。其最新編導劇作 包括去年四月在香港演藝學院上演的《余迪偉一支弓》和五月在紐約公 演的《武林第一神經鳳》。 Patrick Lee has been with CBS News for over a decade and is an awardwinning producer/editor for the network’s Sunday Morning programme.

In 2011, he joined the editing staff at Sixty Minutes, while continuing as contributing producer for Sunday Morning. In 2010, he directed a short documentary on microfinance in Kenya and in 2017, he co-produced the documentary Black Women in Medicine. 照片提供：李強 Photo provided by Patrick LEE

李強 Patrick LEE 劇場構作 Dramaturgy

Lee is also a playwright. Two of his short works were funded by New York's CDC HIV-AIDS Awareness Campaign and later turned into educational films. More recently, he was script consultant for the musical Shanghai Blues, which premiered in China in 2016.

For New York-based community theatre group Four Seas Players, Lee wrote and directed Xiang, Wash and Fold, Nights Without You, An Old Lady Who Says She Knows Kung Fu, and most recently, A Salute to a Little Boy, which was performed at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts this past spring.

He holds a master’s degree from New York Institute of Technology, and has won four Emmy Awards, including in 2017 for Outstanding Editing.

伍卓賢 Yin NG @ SIU2 作曲及現場演奏 Music Composition and Live Performance

Yin Ng (Ng Cheuk-yin) is a composer, music producer, sheng performer and a cappella singer.

Ng was Hong Kong Sinfonietta's first Artist Associate and The Chinese University of Hong Kong's first Resident Composer. He is fusion group SIU2's Musical Director and the Co-artistic Director of the a cappella theatre company, Yat Po Singers. After receiving a postgraduate degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong's Department of Music, he studied Japanese at International Christian University in Tokyo and jazz at Codarts in the Netherlands.

Ng received the Award for Best Artist at 2011 Hong Kong Arts Development Awards. His theatrical choral concert Rock Hard and double sheng concerto Before the City Collapses won Best Serious Composition while his choral work Singing Voices of the World was honoured with the Most Performed Work Award (Serious Music) at CASH Golden Sail Music Awards.

His major dance music pieces include L'Amour Immortel, Lady White of West Lake and Di Zi Gui. In 2018, his choral work Requiem HK was rearranged into a dance and choral theatre production presented by CCDC and renowned choreographer Yuri Ng. A Centennial Tree sung by Hins Cheung is one of his pop music compositions.

SIU2 為香港著名 Fusion 樂隊，一直以獨特曲風積極創作和演出。樂隊以歷史悠久的 笙為首，與三弦、古箏、鋼琴、低音結他與爵士鼓等中西樂器爭鳴發聲，音樂風格遊 走古今、跨越中西文化界限，充份表現香港混雜但互相融和的文化特色。 SIU2 於曾獲邀於「香港藝術節」及「新視野藝術節」演出，並在香港大會堂舉行專 場音樂會，叫好叫座；2017 年獲邀於《賽馬會藝壇新勢力》演出兩場專場音樂會。 SIU2 曾多次獲邀到海外城市演出及參與不同大型音樂節及藝術節，包括澳洲 OzAsia Festival、「新加坡華藝節」、「法國波爾多音樂節」及馬來西亞 Borneo Jazz Festival 等，均廣受好評。 SIU2 至今推出了三張專輯：《聲遊者》（2013）、《西樂》（2010）、《開門》（2008）。 《聲遊者》，以環遊世界為題，取材世界各地不同音樂特色，炮製出多首耳目一新的 樂曲；《西樂》部份樂曲獲 CNNgo 網站用作介紹香港節目之配樂；《開門》部份樂 曲更用於電影《麥兜響噹噹》配樂中。 SIU2 成員：伍卓賢（作曲 / 笙 / 電管風琴）、劉瑞中（古箏）、林天惠（三弦）、樊國雄（鋼 琴）、陳學明（低音結他）及徐協倫（鼓）。

SIU2 is a renowned fusion band from Hong Kong. The sheng, an instrument more than 3,000 years old, whose roots lie in ancient China, leads the weaving of sounds along with the sanxian, zheng, piano, bass guitar and drums. This musical tapestry flows seamlessly through East and West, past and present, dissolving the borders between genres. SIU2 is a sonic portrayal of the juxtaposition of Hong Kong's disparate cultural elements and their unique sound can only be heard here, in this city.

Following their 2008 debut at Hong Kong Arts Festival with Sheng It Up and New Visions Arts Festival, SIU2 performed at Hong Kong City Hall, Theatre and gave two concerts for Jockey Club New Arts Power 2017. The band also performed overseas including at Australia's OzAsia Festival; Huayi Festival in Singapore; Bordeaux Music Festival in France; and Malaysia Borneo Jazz Festival, all to critical acclaim.

SIU2 have released three albums to date: Sonic Traveler (2013), KonFusion (2010) and Open Door (2008). Sonic Traveler blends musical elements of various cultures, expanding the band's musical vocabulary. The EP KonFusion featured on an episode about Hong Kong on the online CNNgo platform, while the movie, McDull, Kung Fu Kindergarten, used tracks from the debut album as background music.

SIU2 are: NG Cheuk-yin (composer/sheng/electric organ), Jason LAU (zheng), Cass LAM (sanxian), Peter FAN (piano), Siuming CHAN and Lawrence TSUI (drums) 楊展是 Alternatif 時裝工作室的舊生和成員，曾於製衣業訓練局及香港大學專業進修學 院就讀，2009 年於英國西敏寺大學獲時裝設計碩士學位，現為香港知專設計學院導師， 並以其名字創立時裝品牌── Yeung Chin。 2006 至 2008 年間，楊氏受聘於中國李寧體育用品公司擔任高級時裝設計師一職，為北 京奧運會中國國家隊設計比賽服飾。此外，他曾於香港時裝品牌 G2000 任首席時裝設計 師。 在舞台製作方面，楊氏曾為 CCDC《尼金斯基》及《剛柔流》擔任舞台服裝設計助理； 舞台服裝設計工作有香港芭蕾舞團《香港酷》之〈錯過〉（2018）、CCDC《小王子》 （2017）及《未團圓 · 大結局》（2010）。 楊氏曾於 2003 年和 2009 年分別在香港貿易發展局舉辦的「香港青年設計師比賽」及香 港設計中心舉辦的「年青才進比賽」中獲獎；2003 至 2008 年，他參與多個香港時裝節 的時裝表演。他的作品曾於倫敦的 OXO Tower（2009）、亞洲協會香港中心（2013）、 香港文化博物館（2013）、紐約時裝週（2015）、新加坡國家設計中心（2015）展出。

Yeung Chin studied fashion design at Alternatif Fashion Workshop, Clothing Industry Training Authority and HKU SPACE, and received an MA in Fashion Design from The University of Westminster in 2009. Currently, he is a guest lecturer for Hong Kong Design Institute's Vocational Training Council. He also runs his own fashion brand Yeung Chin.

Yeung was Chinese sportswear brand Li Ning's Senior Fashion Designer between 2006 and 2008, where he was part of the team that created outfits for the Chinese athletes at the Olympics. He was also Chief Fashion Designer for popular clothing brand G2000.

Yeung was Costume Design Assistant for CCDC's Nijinsky and Iron and Silk in 2006 and Costume Designer for Hong Kong Ballet's Missing Out in Hong Kong Cool (2018) and CCDC's The Little Prince (2017) and Happily N'ever After (2010).

He has won awards in competitions for young designers organised by Hong Kong Trade Development Council in 2003 and Hong Kong Design Centre in 2009. He also participated in Hong Kong Fashion Week from 2003 to 2008. His works have been exhibited at OXO Tower in London (2009); Asia Society Gallery (2013); Hong Kong Heritage Museum (2013); New York Fashion Week (2015); and Singapore Design Centre (2015).

畢業於香港演藝學院，主修燈光設計，期間獲頒周生生證券獎學金及演藝學院友誼社獎學 金。2017 年加入城市當代舞蹈團任駐團燈光設計師。 羅氏曾為不同劇場演出擔任燈光設計師，作品有城市當代舞蹈團《冬之旅 ‧ 春之祭》、《不 期而遇》、《易季》、《香 ‧ 夭》、《小王子》及《恐 ‧ 集》；香港話劇團《極樂．過山 車》及《五月的梅子》；黎海寧編舞作品《Frida》及《90 後的黎海寧》；前進進戲劇工作 坊《（而你們所知道的）中國式魔幻》及《會客室 - Best Wishes》；風車草劇團《告別之後》； 多空間《冇關係》及《突然之間》、香港演藝學院《六個尋找劇作家的角色》及《熒 ‧ 睿》等。

Lawmanray (Raymond Law) graduated from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in Lighting Design. He was awarded Chow Sang Sang Securities Scholarship in 2011 and The Society of APA Scholarship in 2012. He joined CCDC as Resident Lighting Designer in 2017.

He has lit many stage productions including Winterreise · The Rite of Spring, Come Across, Season(s), Requiem HK, The Little Prince, Why Not Kill Us All…for CCDC; Euthanasia Coaster and May for Hong Kong Repertory Theatre; Frida and Helen Lai in the Post-90's choreographed by Helen Lai; Magic in Chinese Style (that you all know about) and Best Wishes for On & On Theatre Workshop; Ever After for Windmill Grass Theatre; None of Your Business and Suddenly for Y-Space; Six Characters In Search of An Author and Luminous! for the HKAPA and others.

Lawmanray is also active in theatre making. In 2009, he formed INSPIRE WORKSHOP, a theatre company aiming to create multimedia stage works with excellent performance. His recent works include The HELP, Offending the AudienceThe Impossibility of Theatre, Love is Colder than Capital Deconstructed (premiere and rerun), Jacklam's 20th Anniversary, Jacklam's 21st Anniversar, Jacklam Always, In a New Light and Sound. He was nominated for Best Director in the 8th Hong Kong Theatre Libre 2015-2016 for Love is Colder than Capital Deconstructed.

Lo won the Jury Award at the 14th Beijing College Student Film Festival for his documentary me_mother_grandmother_father_DV and a Special Mention at the 10th ifva Awards for Meat.

As a multimedia artist, Lo has created more than 30 video designs for theatres and concerts. He has worked in advertising, theatre and film and as a film editor.

His major projects include visual design work for Club Cubic Zhuhai and editing for ViuTV drama Plan B and film Deception of the Novelist. He was the video designer for Ronald Cheng PLAY IT AGAIN World Tour; Paula Tsui in Concert 2016; The Truth from Liar and Eve for Artocrite Theater; Attempts on her Life for Hong Kong Repertory Theatre; The Revenge of Local Heroes and The Big Big Day for Chung Ying Theatre; Chinese Lesson for the 44th Hong Kong Arts Festival; and SEVEN: Lost and Lust with Class 7A Drama Group.

Ha Yan-pui graduated from The Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts' Theatre, Sound and Music Recording department. She has been a sound designer and engineer for drama, dance, musical and multi-media performances. Her recent works include Invisible Cities and the East Wing West Wing series for Zuni Icosahedron, Soledad; She Says, He Talks, Post-Perception/ Transcendence, The Little Prince, and Come Across for CCDC; and Voices and Dances on the Distant Land for Hong Kong Dance Company. Her other works include Footprints in the Snow for Hong Kong Repertory Theatre; The Reincarnation of Red Plum for Yam Kim Fai & Pak Suet Sin Charitable Foundation; Shuraba and Little Hong Kong series for W Theatre; Hong Kong Jockey Club Contemporary Dance Series for Hong Kong Arts Festival; and Hong Kong International A Cappella Festival for The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups. Ha was also invited to be sound consultant for Macao International Music Festival.

Her work Shuraba was nominated for Best Sound Design at the 24th Hong Kong Drama Awards.

曹氏一直致力於推動中國現代舞的發展：在香 港，他於 1979 年創辦了香港第一個專業當代舞 團 —— 城市當代舞蹈團，並從 1989 年開始擔任 城市當代舞蹈團創辦人 / 藝術總監 該團藝術總監至今；在廣州，曹誠淵於 1987 至 Founder/Artistic Director, CCDC 1992 年擔任廣東舞蹈學校現代舞大專班的教師 北京雷動天下現代舞團藝術總監 及顧問，協助中國內地建立首個正規現代舞教育 Artistic Director, BeijingDance/LDTX 培訓課程，並於 1992 至 1998 年出任由廣東省 中國舞蹈家協會理事 政府成立、中國首個專業現代舞團 —— 廣東實 Council Member, China's Chinese Dancers Association 驗現代舞團的藝術總指導；2004 年，曹氏在廣 廣東省舞蹈家協會副主席 Vice Chairman, Guangdong Provincial Dancers Association 東省文化廳力邀下，重返廣州出任廣東現代舞 團的藝術總監一職至 2016 年。在北京，曹氏於 1999 至 2005 年出任北京現代舞團的藝術總監， 並於 2005 年創建中國內地第一個民營專業舞團 —— 北京雷動天下現代舞團，擔任該團藝術總監至今。 曹氏不僅致力於中國現代舞團體的創建與發展，更創辦了兩個現代舞交流平台 ——「廣東現代舞週」和「北京舞蹈雙週」。「北 京舞蹈雙週」原名「北京現代舞展演週」，由曹氏於 2008 年創辦並擔任藝術總監，目前，「北京舞蹈雙週」每年吸引數百位現 代舞藝術家參與演出，觀眾人數近萬，是中國現代舞舞者、海內外觀眾及業內人士共同期待的現代舞盛事。 此外，曹氏還身兼數個公職：2015 年獲委任為中國舞蹈家協會理事，2016 年成為廣東省舞蹈家協會副主席。除帶領香港及北 京專業舞團發展之外，曹氏還相繼在北京、長沙、大慶、福州、廣州、貴陽、合肥、呼和浩特、昆明、南昌、南寧、上海、太原、 烏魯木齊、武漢和廈門等多座城市的大專院校及藝術團體講學及主持工作坊。 曹氏對舞蹈的貢獻備受讚譽，歷年獲獎無數，包括 1988 年香港藝術家聯盟「舞蹈家年獎」、1990 年「香港十大傑出青年」、 1993 年「英女皇榮譽獎章」、1998 年「路易 ‧ 卡地亞卓越成就獎──舞蹈設計家」、1999 年香港特區政府「銅紫荊星章」及 香港舞蹈年獎 2014「傑出成就獎」。2018 年，曹氏獲聯合國、科學及文化組織正式伙伴──國際戲劇協會邀請為「國際舞蹈日」 亞太區獻辭人，同年獲頒香港藝術發展獎「終身成就獎」，以讚揚其對本地藝術發展的重大貢獻。 由 1980 年至今，曹氏創作了六十多部風格迥異的作品，包括《鳥之歌》、《昆侖》、《中國風 ‧ 中國火》、《365 種係定唔係 東方主義》、《逍遙遊》、《一桌 N 椅》、《三千寵愛》、《非常道》、《霸王》、《蘭陵王》、《尋找大觀園》等。其作品 多次在加拿大、法國、德國、以色列、日本、韓國、美國以及北京、廣州、上海和台北的大型藝術節上演。 Willy Tsao is an influential figure in China's contemporary dance development as a choreographer, educator, curator, manager and director. Born and educated in Hong Kong, Tsao received his contemporary dance training in the US and an MBA degree from the University of Hong Kong. He was named an Honorary Fellow by the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in 2000 and received an Honorary Doctorate in 2015.

As a contemporary dance pioneer in Mainland China and Hong Kong, Tsao founded the first and only professional contemporary dance company CCDC in Hong Kong in 1979 and has held the role of artistic director since 1989. In Mainland China, Tsao was a teacher and advisor to the Modern Dance Programme at Guangdong Dance School from 1987 to 1992 and was named artistic director of China's first professional contemporary dance company, Guangdong Modern Dance Company, when it was founded by Guangdong Provincial Government in 1992. He departed the group in 1998 and was invited by Guangdong Cultural Bureau in 2004 to resume his position until 2016. In Beijing, Tsao had served Beijing Modern Dance Company as artistic director from 1999 to 2005. In 2005, Tsao established China's first independent professional contemporary dance company, BeijingDance/LDTX. Committed to nurturing and developing Chinese contemporary dance groups, Tsao established two contemporary dance exchange platforms, Guangdong Modern Dance Festival and Beijing Dance Festival. Beijing Dance Festival was set up in 2008 with Tsao as artistic director. A popular annual festival, it attracts hundreds of dance artists performing to nearly 10,000 audience members, and is well received by industry practitioners local and abroad.

Tsao also holds several public posts in Mainland China. In 2015, he was appointed as a council member of China's Chinese Dancers Association. In 2016, he became the vice chairman of Guangdong Provincial Dancers Association. Tsao also gives lectures and workshops frequently for universities and dance groups in major Chinese cities, including Beijing, Changsha, Daqing, Fuzhou, Guangzhou, Guiyang, Hefei, Hohhot, Kunming, Nanchang, Nanning, Shanghai, Taiyuan, Urumqi, Wuhan and Xiamen.

Tsao's contribution to dance has been widely recognised. He has also received numerous awards and honours including, Dancer of the Year Award from Hong Kong Artists' Guild in 1988, Ten Outstanding Young Persons Award in 1990, Badge of Honour from HRH Queen Elizabeth II in 1993, Louis Cartier Award of Excellence – Outstanding Choreographer in 1998. In 1999, he was awarded the Bronze Bauhinia Star by the Government of the HKSAR. He received Distinguished Achievement Award in the 16th Hong Kong Dance Awards for his immense and invaluable achievement and contribution to Hong Kong dance scene.

Since the 1980s, Tsao has created more than 60 works for the dance stage, including Bird Songs, Kunlun, China Wind-China Fire, 365 Ways of Doing and Undoing Orientalism, Wandering in the Cosmos, One Table N Chairs, Sexing Three Millennia, Dao: Extraordinaire, Conqueror, Warrior Lanling and In Search of the Grand View Garden. His choreography has been staged in Canada, France, Germany, Israel, Japan, Korea, the US as well as Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai and Taipei.
