Giving Day
from Endicott College Donor Honor Roll 2021–22
by Endicott College's Office of Annual Giving & Alumni Engagement
Bill and Maryann Gilet P’24 sponsored the Comfort Dog Challenge on Giving Day, helping Endicott welcome Gary, who now works alongside a campus police officer as a comforting, calming resource for community members who are experiencing or have experienced crisis or trauma. Gary helps de-escalate stressful situations, reduce anxiety, and provide support in a variety of mental health situations, while also helping with outreach and community engagement endeavors for the Endicott College Public Safety & Police Department.
With the support of Trustee Mike Rockett’s challenge gift, the Endicott community raised over $20,000 for the Wings Fund. The Wings Fund makes available emergency support to students experiencing unanticipated financial hardship in times of crisis. This fund was created in the immediate aftermath of the COVID-19 outbreak, when members of the community were experiencing sudden and acute financial difficulty. Gifts to the Wings Fund helped Endicott directly respond to students’ needs following the invasion of Ukraine and the global unrest it has caused.
