RE: Exhibit Returns

The clerk’s office is in crisis, a space crisis. Our exhibit room is busting at the seams, and we no longer have space for current and future cases. COVID contributed greatly to our current situation, as you can imagine, as does the clerk’s continued staffing challenges.

Our project for the end of the year is to get things back in order by returning exhibits to their rightful owners or obtaining approval for destruction. We are notifying local attorneys by email of their cases for which we are providing storage for their exhibits. Unfortunately, we are not getting the responses we had hoped for.

We are requesting your help. If you receive an email notification from us regarding exhibits, please respond. If you approve destruction, please respond to our email as soon as possible indicating that destruction is approved. If you have chosen to have exhibits returned, please respond to our email letting us know you will be stopping by the clerk’s office as soon as possible to pick up and sign for the exhibits.

We are hoping that once we have worked through this backlog, our new stipulation and exhibit handling process will keep this situation from recurring.

If you have any questions, please reach out to our office.

Clark County’s Annual Holiday Shop

Amazon Wish List: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/23QBN83103GF8?ref_=wl_share

YWCA's annual Holiday Shop will be held on December 17th - December 19th at our Community Office on 3609 Main Street, Vancouver WA.

The Holiday Shop is an annual event where YWCA program participants can choose gifts for their children at no cost. The Holiday Shop serves participants from our SafeChoice Domestic Violence Program, Sexual Assault Program, Y’s Care Children’s Program, and Independent Youth Housing Program.

Every year, YWCA Clark County asks individuals and businesses throughout Clark County donate new/unopened toys, books, games, clothes and more. Businesses are also invited to host a tree at their place of employment to select gift wish tags to purchase items for Holiday Shop.

During a visit to the Holiday Shop between December 17-19, YWCA program participants select gifts for themselves and their families; then YWCA staff and community volunteers wrap the gifts onsite making it a joyous occasion for all involved.

This program is only successful due to community contributions and volunteer efforts to make this happen. Holiday shop is truly a magical day filled with laughter, seasonal music, cookies and cheer.

Held over three days:

• Tuesday, December 17, 9am - 4pm

• Wednesday, December 18, 1pm - 7pm

• Thursday, December 19, 1pm - 7pm

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to a YWCA Clark County team member.
