          Santa Barbara is nestled between the lush and steep vertical rise of the Santa Ynez Mountains and the deep blue waters of the Pacific Ocean.           It’s not often that civic leaders are responsible for the united look and feel of a city, but following a landmark event in 1925, Santa Barbara leaders adopted an architectural image of the Spanish Colonial Revival style for its downtown, complementing the then-predominant residential styles of California bungalows, Victorians and Spanish-style homes built during the early decades of the 20th century.
          To the east is Montecito, an unincorporated million-dollar area of Santa Barbara County with a population of approximately 8,200 that includes some name-dropping celebrity mansion owners, such as Oprah Winfrey, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Ellen DeGeneres and Rob Lowe.
